This was emphasized by Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) at the signing ceremony of cooperation to deploy VietQR Pay and honor Vietnamese products between Central Retail Vietnam Group (CRV) and National Payment Joint Stock Company of Vietnam (NAPAS) held on the morning of October 24, in Hanoi.
This is the first time the event has been held to honor the value of Vietnamese goods and give the people of the capital the opportunity to experience shopping for regional specialties from many localities across the country. The program honors 20 brands participating in the campaign "Honoring Vietnamese products", notably specialty rice products such as ST25 rươi field (Hai Phong), Tu Le sticky rice (Lao Cai), Seng Cu (Lao Cai - Lai Chau), yellow flower sticky rice ( Bac Ninh ) ...
In addition, many other famous specialties were also honored, such as: dried shiitake mushrooms, straw mushrooms, Gioi Phien vermicelli, green bean vermicelli, dried wild bamboo shoots, coconut candy... bringing consumers a convenient shopping experience with attractive promotions.
At the ceremony, Central Retail and NAPAS signed a cooperation agreement to deploy VietQR Pay payment method across the entire GO!, Big C and Tops Market supermarket systems. This solution helps customers pay quickly and safely by scanning VietQR Pay code directly on banking applications or e-wallets, while also supporting businesses to manage revenue immediately, transparently and effectively.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said that in recent times, ministries, branches and localities, including the Ministry of Industry and Trade, have always prioritized developing the domestic market. Implementing Viet QR pay and honoring Vietnamese products at Central Retail's system is one of the meaningful activities that will contribute to stimulating consumption and promoting the effectiveness of the Campaign for Vietnamese people to prioritize using Vietnamese goods. Through this program, it also contributes to encouraging the implementation of digital payments in the domestic retail market."
This is an inevitable trend in the context of the digital economy and cashless society being strongly promoted in Vietnam as well as in the world.

"As one of the leading retailers in Vietnam, Central Retail continues to demonstrate its social responsibility, promoting the consumption of high-quality Vietnamese goods, ensuring reasonable prices for consumers. We also expect NAPAS and commercial banks to closely coordinate with the retail system to bring more convenience to people, contributing to the strong development of the modern retail market and promoting domestic consumption," Mr. Tran Huu Linh suggested.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Hung, Deputy General Director of NAPAS, said: "In just a few weeks, NAPAS and Central Retail have deployed VietQR Pay at about 70 points of sale nationwide. This is the result of an effective spirit of cooperation, aiming at a seamless and transparent payment experience for customers."
Representative of Central Retail Vietnam, Mr. Olivier Langlet, CEO, affirmed: "Central Retail not only develops business but also contributes to modernizing the Vietnamese retail industry, bringing consumers closer to modern shopping standards. Through the implementation of VietQR Pay in our retail system, Central Retail not only brings a more convenient payment experience, but also contributes to the Government to promote the trend of cashless payments, thereby stimulating domestic consumption."
According to the plan, VietQR Pay payment method will be expanded to all 350 Central Retail points of sale, aiming to build a modern, convenient retail ecosystem and connect Vietnamese goods with Vietnamese people.
