Hue City Traffic Police launched a campaign to deal with many "drunk drivers" behind the wheel.

On the afternoon of November 10, the Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police said that after 1 day of operation (from the evening of November 9 to this afternoon), the unit's force had recorded and handled 280 cases of violations of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, including 68 car drivers, 212 motorbike drivers, and temporarily detained 106 vehicles.

Among the above violations, 105 drivers violated alcohol concentration (3 car drivers, 102 motorbike drivers) and were fined by the Traffic Police of Hue City.

Previously, on the evening of November 9, the Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police organized a peak period of inspection and handling of alcohol concentration violations throughout the city. Traffic police coordinated with the police of wards and communes in the area to organize closed patrols according to the following time frames: noon from 12:00 to 14:00, evening from 19:30 to 24:00 in the inner city; suburban areas from 18:30 to 21:00; industrial zones from 19:00 to 22:00.

The driver was tested for alcohol by the traffic police.

Traffic police will focus on patrolling and checking the central routes of Hue City including Ba Trieu, Hung Vuong, Chu Van An, Le Loi, Pham Ngu Lao, Pham Van Dong, which are areas with many food and beverage businesses, entertainment, restaurants, bars, karaoke bars, beer pubs. At the same time, they will increase patrolling and handling of violations on national highways, inter-village and inter-commune roads, and inner-city roads.

Many drivers violating alcohol concentration were fined.

The leader of the Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police said that through inspections, violations will be strictly handled, contributing to building a safe and civilized traffic culture, reducing accidents and ensuring traffic safety in the area.
