"I have to study for my father"
Nguyen Thi Thu is 22 years old this year, 1.74m tall, 79-60-91cm in measurements, from Hung Yen . She will never forget the darkest days of her life when she had poor academic performance, was often scolded by teachers, and had the lowest grades in the class.
"When I faced the first 'shock' in my life, my father was the strongest person. He didn't scold or beat me, he just gently said: 'You have to study for me, try hard, I believe you can do it'," Nguyen Thi Thu told VietNamNet.

From a poor student, Nguyen Thi Thu became an excellent student.
The words of encouragement seemed to wake Thu up. She no longer studied for grades, for teachers or for anyone else, but for her father, for her family and for herself. As a result, Thu scored nearly 25 points on her university entrance exam - a score she had never dared to dream of before.
"The moment I saw my parents smile when I received my university admission notice, I understood that overcoming myself is the greatest victory," Thu shared. She graduated with honors in Business Administration from the University of Transport and Communications and is currently a financial consultant.
Thu did not forget to mention her mother - the person who changed her life. "My mother is very strong and resilient. When my father was sick, she had to shoulder all the responsibilities in the family. She had to raise, care for and provide for my three siblings' education, and also pay for my father's hospital fees," she said.
Thu clearly remembers the late nights when her mother sat at the table calculating every penny so as not to lack anything: "My mother taught me that no matter how difficult life is, as long as we don't give up and don't succumb, all difficulties will pass," she said.

From a bad student, Thu has risen to become an exemplary student.
Thu's university journey was not smooth. In the first semester of her freshman year, because she was not used to the new way of studying, combined with the Covid-19 outbreak, her academic results seriously declined. Her GPA of less than 2.0 made her panic.
Instead of sinking into disappointment, Thu decided not to give up. As a second-year student, she decided to study and work at the same time. Working helped Thu pay for her living expenses and tuition fees with her scholarship money, while also practicing her independence and time management skills.
As a result, Thu graduated with a good degree. Not stopping there, she actively participated in movement activities, becoming Secretary of the Youth Union with many outstanding achievements such as Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings, Outstanding Student Face and 3rd Prize in Student Scientific Research in the 2021-2022 school year.
Unlike her peers, Thu likes to volunteer at retreats and participate in temple work. Every time she participates in retreat activities, she learns how to live peacefully, tolerantly, and compassionately. When facing difficulties, Thu often returns to the temple to do small tasks, which helps her soul become more peaceful.

Thu is confident that her biggest advantage in the competition is her optimistic spirit and positive energy. She believes that when she lives with a positive mindset and is always sincere, all challenges will become easier.
The desire to spread beauty has influence
Coming to Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025, Thu hopes to affirm the image of a modern, intellectual woman and inspire a positive life to the community. She defines "influential beauty" not in appearance but in the ability to create positive values for others. If she becomes Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025, Thu hopes to leave a legacy of kindness and sincerity to the community.
