The Vietnam Finance and Investment Association in the UK (VIFA) has successfully organized the event "Financial Insights 2025" in the London financial district, London.

The event attracted more than 50 delegates, including financial experts, asset managers and the Vietnamese business community in the UK.

Financial Insights 2025 is organized to exchange knowledge, update information, discuss trends and opportunities in the fields of finance, investment and business, and strengthen financial and business relations between Vietnam and the UK.

At the event, a representative of the British Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (BritCham Vietnam) introduced the Vietnam-UK Business Conference 2025, a new annual event to connect British and Vietnamese businesses.

The conference will focus on two key areas: renewable energy and the development of the International Finance Center in Ho Chi Minh City. The program includes in-depth seminars, gala dinners and trade promotion activities, creating opportunities for businesses from both countries to discuss and cooperate.

In his speech at Financial Insights 2025, Mr. Matt Ryland - Managing Director of BritCham Vietnam, emphasized BritCham's role in supporting more than 240 organizations, hosting about 70 events each year and maintaining 6 specialized groups on education , financial services, energy, ESG (environment, society and governance), technology and trade.

BritCham works closely with the UK and Vietnamese Governments, contributing to Vietnam’s international finance and renewable energy development goals. Mr. Ryland introduced the Vietnam-UK Business Summit 2025 as an important milestone, opening up opportunities for cooperation, funding and knowledge exchange between businesses of the two countries.

Next, Birketts LLP Law Office provides an update on the latest changes in UK employment law. This presentation is particularly useful for Vietnamese businesses and employers in the UK, helping them to grasp and comply with new legal regulations, ensuring effective and legal business operations.

With a large Vietnamese business community in the UK operating in many industries, providing such legal information plays a very important role.

Many businessmen actively asked questions and discussed directly with the speakers about specific difficulties in business operations, human resource management and communication with local authorities.

Detailed answers from Birketts LLP have helped to clear up many questions, raise awareness of legal compliance and adaptability to the UK market - where transparency and legal compliance are highly demanded.

Finally, Eastern Horizon Wealth Management - a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) licensed entity and partner of St. James's Place, a leading wealth management firm in the UK, shared practical financial strategies. The discussion focused on financial planning and wealth management, preparing for the Autumn Budget 2025, providing valuable insights for individuals and businesses in a volatile economic context.

Ms. Christine Le, President of VIFA, affirmed that the Association's mission is to act as a bridge between the community of Vietnamese professionals and entrepreneurs in the UK and their partners in Vietnam. She emphasized: “Financial Insights 2025 not only strengthens the Vietnamese community in the UK but also creates a foundation for deeper cooperation in the fields of finance, business and investment between the two countries."

The event marked the participation of representatives of professional associations, chambers of commerce and the Vietnamese business community, demonstrating VIFA's dynamic role in promoting bilateral dialogue and cooperation.

As a non-profit organization launched at the end of June 2025 with about 100 initial members - including financial experts, asset managers, investors, lawyers and financial technology businesses in the UK, Vietnam and several countries, VIFA aims to build a cross-border cooperation ecosystem to share knowledge, experience and opportunities in the fields of finance and investment.

With practical content and the participation of many experts and entrepreneurs, Financial Insights 2025 is not only a forum for knowledge exchange, but also an important step in connecting and enhancing financial and legal knowledge for Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the UK, while supporting sustainable economic growth between Vietnam and the UK, especially in the fields of finance, renewable energy and international trade./.
