Elber enjoys the peaceful life in his hometown. |
"When I left football, I thought I would live a quiet life, taking care of bulls and horses in Brazil. But everything changed. As an ambassador for Bayern Munich, I traveled around the world , attended matches in Germany and the Champions League, and met the players. However, when I returned to Brazil, I spent time with horses, bulls and enjoyed life with my family," Elber told Marca.
"Taking care of horses and cows is my favorite job. It's where I can recharge, find strength, because when I work with Bayern, life is very busy and there are no fixed hours. Today I sleep in Miami, tomorrow in Munich. But when I'm in Brazil, I can enjoy life with my family, my children... all of that," he added.
When asked about the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, Elber admitted: "It will be difficult for European teams to play in hot weather. South American teams will have an advantage because they are used to the weather and other factors. This is a great opportunity to compare South American teams with strong teams like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Man City".
The former Bayern Munich player did not forget to mention the potential candidates for the 2025 Ballon d'Or: "Raphinha had a great season with Barcelona. Lamine Yamal played very impressively despite his young age. Ousmane also deserves attention with his achievements at PSG. This year's Ballon d'Or race will be very interesting."
Elber played for Bayern from 1997-2003, scoring 139 goals in 265 matches. The former Brazilian star's trophy collection with the German team is huge, including 4 Silver Plates, 3 National Cups, 1 Champions League and many other noble championships.
In the 2000/01 Champions League, Bayern defeated MU and Real Madrid on the way to winning the championship. In those matches, Elber left his mark with important goals. He also ended the season with 6 goals, only 1 goal behind Real's "Top Scorer" Raul Gonzalez.
