Inter-school academic competition with 100 million VND prize for students in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture and Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture jointly organized a startup and innovation playground for students of universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City.

Today (June 5), Ho Chi Minh City University of Law in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture and Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture launched the 2025 Startup and Innovation Competition.

The competition will take place in 3 rounds: the project selection round will be held at Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture from June 15 to June 30; the semi-final round will be held at Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture from July 10 to August 20; the final round will be held at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law from August 21 to October 31.

The contestants are students studying at universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City and compete in teams/project groups. Each group has a maximum of 5 members, can come from 1 or moreeducational institutions and have instructors who are lecturers at universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City.

The first prize of the competition is worth 100 million VND, two second prizes are worth 80 million VND each, two third prizes are worth 75 million VND each and many other prizes. At the same time, the groups entering the final round will be supported to connect to develop innovative start-up projects. In addition, the winning projects will be supported to apply for funding to incubate innovative and start-up projects from the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City with a value of 40 million VND/project and many other prizes.

The fields of projects participating in the competition aim to solve community and social problems, in the context of sustainable development being an inevitable requirement of socio-economic development. Specifically, they include: law; education, culture; architecture, construction, planning, design, fine arts; cultural industry, projects related to creating products in the above fields; educational services, law, tourism, culture, medical services, health care, beauty technology; application of digital technology, information technology in the above fields; business; projects with community-oriented goals, creating positive impacts on society and the environment.

Associate Professor, Dr., Architect Le Van Thuong, Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, said that the competition is not only a useful academic playground but also a place where creative ideas are nurtured, start-up projects are shaped and the spirit of innovation is strongly spread in the student community. Especially in fields such as architecture, planning, construction, applied arts, law, culture and other social sciences.
