Exciting playground
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just coordinated with the Departmentof Education and Training, the Provincial Youth Union and Thu Dau Mot University to successfully organize the 15th "Children's Fine Arts Award" of Binh Duong province - 2025. This is considered a cultural playground to kick off a series of exciting summer activities this year, aiming to create a healthy and useful playground for teenagers and children, encourage the development of fine arts activities inside and outside of school, and contribute positively to the aesthetic education process for children.
With their artistic talent, the students were also inspired by their teachers in their schools to create beautiful paintings that reflect the rich and vivid life happening around them. The organizers received more than 900 paintings from the students participating in this year's award, both individual and group paintings.
Looking at the colorful and vivid paintings drawn by the children in this contest, one can see that they feel innocently but also deeply about the life happening around them. In addition to the familiar topics often seen in contests, such as: Environmental protection, beautiful homeland scenery, traffic safety, drowning prevention... in this year's award, there are paintings that the children expressed in new themes, new drawing styles. Those are the images of soldiers parading, tanks entering the Independence Palace or planes carrying the national flag flying in the sky...
Painter Nguyen Van Quy, Chairman of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association in Binh Duong Province, and head of the jury for this year's award, shared that in addition to the required characteristics such as beautiful paintings with soft strokes, balanced composition, harmonious and sharp colors, the paintings selected for the award must also have meaningful themes, carry clear messages, and have the innocent characteristics of children.
Sharing with reporters about her A-prize winning painting at this year's award, Doan Ngoc Bao Tram, a 7th grader at Nguyen Trai Secondary School (Phu Giao District), said that she chose the theme "Celebrating Independence Day" to draw. This theme is based on the event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, which was recently held. "Through my work, I want to send a message to everyone, that we must be grateful to those who contributed to the revolution and love our Fatherland more, be proud of our homeland and country. This is a meaningful playground, helping us to be creative, have more joy and express our passion," Bao Tram expressed.
This year's art award attracted 1,103 contestants from kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools in the province. As a result, 244 excellent works were selected for awards. The results not only demonstrate the children's painting ability, but also show that their spiritual life and way of observing life around them are very rich, vivid and profound. The number of contestants has confirmed that this is a meaningful and exciting cultural playground, receiving the attention and response of schools as well as children from 4-15 years old. |
