Over the past month, the number of Pi token holders has been steadily declining, with very few new investors joining in to replace them. Data from Holderscan shows that the total number of holders is currently only around 14,952, with no clear signs of improvement, raising doubts about the long-term appeal of this coin, while creating bearish sentiment in the market.
Negative sentiment increased in the second half of May due to the lack of new money flow and concerns about Pi's resilience. Experts warned that if selling pressure continues, Pi's price could fall below the $0.55 support level, even to a record low of $0.4.
Although there is a possibility of a recovery to the $0.86 mark, this prospect is considered unlikely if the negative trend is not reversed.
Pi coin unexpectedly tops the rankings in terms of actual usage
Pi Network recently surprised everyone by surpassing XRP in terms of actual usage. In a survey conducted by the Zypto VISA card platform, Pi ranked first in terms of user top-up frequency, surpassing DASH, USD1, and XRP. Notably, XRP ranked last, showing a significant decline in user usage, despite having higher expectations.
The survey organizers said that DASH has been consistently leading in previous weeks, but this week Pi unexpectedly rose to the number one position. However, this achievement contrasts with Pi Network's situation in the investment market, where the coin is facing growing concerns from the investor community.
The widespread use of Pi Network in real-world payments, such as on Zypto cards, shows that the coin still has a role to play in users' lives. This reflects the growing gap between Pi's real-world use case and financial investment confidence.
