Da Lat: People are upset because businesses arbitrarily fence off roads

According to local residents, for many months now, Thuy Duong Company Limited (investor of Than Tho Lake Tourist Area, Da Lat City) has had people erect a fence tens of meters long and more than 1 meter high made of steel along Ho Xuan Huong Street, Ward 12.

Here, the garbage bins that people have used for a long time, after the fence was erected, were pushed out onto the road, obstructing traffic.

The incident has been reported to local authorities by residents for many months but has not been resolved.

After checking people's feedback, at the end of March 2025, the People's Committee of Ward 12, Da Lat City worked with the investor of Than Tho Lake Tourist Area, determined that the fence was located on the road boundary of Ho Xuan Huong Street, and at the same time requested the company to remove all the violating fence according to regulations.

However, so far the case has not changed.

As reported by SGGP Newspaper, the People's Committee of Da Lat City has just requested that wards, communes, and affiliated units absolutely must not let constructions that violate the law be delayed in inspection and handling, forming new "hot spots", taking advantage of administrative transfers to commit violations in the field of construction order.

According to the People's Committee of Da Lat City, some localities show signs of lax management, slow inspection and handling of violations in the field of construction and urban areas such as wards 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12... causing loss of urban beauty and frustration among the people.
