Da Nang auctions off a series of public cars, starting at just over 14 million VND
The Department of Finance of Da Nang City is coordinating with relevant units to organize an auction of many public vehicles, mainly vehicles for general work, manufactured from 1997 to 2012.
According to the list of public car auctions in Da Nang , the lowest starting price belongs to the Toyota Hiace RZH I14L - BRMRS manufactured in 2002, with a price of more than 14 million VND. In contrast, the Mercedes-Benz E300 (W212) 2009 has the highest starting price, nearly 471 million VND.

In addition, many other car models such as Ford Everest UV9F and Hyundai Sonata were also auctioned with prices ranging from 15 million VND to more than 400 million VND.
Notably, among the vehicles auctioned in Da Nang , there are 4 passenger cars that have expired their usage period and 3 cars damaged by flooding during the flood on October 14-15, 2022, including a 1998 Toyota Camry, with a starting price of over VND87 million. The announced prices do not include value added tax.

This auction is part of the plan to arrange and handle public assets after the merger project of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city. According to the project, after the merger, the total number of public cars of the two localities will be 760, of which Da Nang city has 470 cars and Quang Nam province has 290 cars.
The post-merger handling plan is clearly defined: official vehicles will continue to be allocated to those who meet the prescribed standards. Official vehicles serving general provincial work will be allocated to administrative agencies, Party agencies, Fatherland Front, unions and provincial public service units managed by the new Da Nang City. District-level official vehicles will also be allocated to grassroots units, ensuring compliance with current standards and norms.
According to the project, after the merger, the total number of public cars of the two localities will be 760, of which Da Nang city has 470 cars and Quang Nam province has 290 cars.
For specialized vehicles such as medical, fire-fighting, environmental, defense and security vehicles, the project proposes to continue using them for their original purposes.
After the Government issues a new decree replacing Decree 72, the Department of Finance of Da Nang City will take the lead in advising the City People's Committee to issue new standards and norms on the use of public vehicles, and at the same time develop a specific roadmap to continue arranging and handling public assets according to regulations.
