San Hoang Tu, a Giay ethnic boy born and raised in Lao Cai , always carries within him a deep pride in his roots. For a long time, this male student has cherished the desire to affirm and develop himself. “I want to show everyone that ethnic minorities are just like everyone else. They can do everything like everyone else, as long as they have enough will and determination.”
With his tireless efforts, Tu successfully passed the entrance exam to the province’s Specialized High School – a dream goal of many students. Not stopping there, the Giay boy continued to conquer the university lecture hall with a top major, affirming his ability and perseverance.
The contest “When Gen Z Speaks Up” is an important turning point in Hoang Tu’s journey to pursue his passion. “I want to try, assert myself and spread my voice to more people,” he shared.

With his understanding of youth culture, sharp analytical skills and confident expression, Tu completely conquered the judges and excellently won the championship title. “The moment my name was called, I burst into happiness. That feeling is still intact until now,” Tu emotionally said.

The preparation process for the competition helped Hoang Tu better understand the broadcasting field, thereby appreciating more the efforts and knowledge required of a professional broadcaster.
Sharing his experience after winning the highest position in the competition, the male student especially emphasized the importance of careful preparation. Hoang Tu revealed: “Careful preparation in terms of knowledge, spirit and even possible bad situations will help us be more confident, not afraid of difficulties and easily adapt.”
