In April 2025, Ford announced official information and images of the new Everest version called Sport Special. Up to now, the special edition Ford Everest Sport 2025 has been available at Vietnamese dealers. According to Ford, the new version of Vietnam's best-selling D-class SUV is a blend of powerful performance, optimal comfort and a series of modern customer-focused technologies. Compared to the standard Ford Everest Sport, the new special version has a number of differences.
The most notable of these are the black exterior details such as the "Everest" logo on the hood, roof and spoiler. In addition, the car is also equipped with a new set of 20-inch sports rims, a strong black-red color scheme, with familiar 255/55 R20 tires. This rim set has the same design as the one currently used for the Ford Ranger Stormtrak. Stepping inside the special edition Ford Everest Sport, users will encounter equipment such as sporty black leather seats, 8-way power front seats and 2-zone automatic air conditioning with rear seat vents. The rest of the car's equipment remains unchanged compared to the standard Ford Everest Sport. The car also has a 10.1-inch color touchscreen, supports wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity, SYNC 4A infotainment system, FordPass Connect connectivity, 4 USB ports and an 8-speaker sound system.
Unfortunately, the safety equipment of the special edition Ford Everest Sport is quite basic, including only 7 airbags, front/rear parking sensors, rear camera, anti-lock braking system ABS, electronic brake force distribution EBD, electronic handbrake, electronic balance system ESP, hill start assist,... The car does not have ADAS active safety features like the higher-end versions. The "heart" of the new Ford Everest is still a 2.0L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine, producing a maximum capacity of 170 horsepower and a maximum torque of 405 Nm, with a 6-speed automatic transmission. In addition, the rear-wheel drive system combines 4 smart driving modes (Normal, Eco, Slippery, Tow/Haul). The Ford Everest Sport special edition is sold in Vietnam in snow white. The selling price of this version starts at 1.199 billion VND, an increase of 21 million compared to the standard Ford Everest Sport.
Ford Everest is currently the best-selling D-class SUV in the Vietnamese market. In the first 4 months of 2025, Ford sold 3,224 of these D-class SUVs to Vietnamese people. Video : Introducing the special edition Ford Everest Sport 2025 in Vietnam.
