Da Nang supports 4.1 billion VND for Attapeu province to upgrade infrastructure and social security

Speaking at the reception, Mr. Bounsert Setthirath - Deputy Governor of Attapeu Province said: The support from Da Nang in recent times has contributed to promoting the development of Attapeu in the fields of infrastructure, education and training, agriculture , culture, information and tourism. In 2023 - 2024 alone, Da Nang city has granted scholarships to 50 officials and students of Attapeu province to study at Da Nang University. This is a vivid demonstration of the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos, as well as the comprehensive cooperation between the two localities.

Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi affirmed that the visit was an opportunity for both sides to review the results of cooperation in the past and discuss orientations for the coming period. She emphasized that the Party Committee, government and people of the city always attach importance to fostering the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos, as well as effective cooperation with Attapeu province.

On this occasion, Da Nang City awarded 3.6 billion VND to support Attapeu Province in upgrading the recording studio of the Provincial Radio and Television Station and 500 million VND for social security work. In addition, the People's Committee of Da Nang City also awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 groups and 2 individuals of Attapeu Province for their positive contributions in the period 2018-2022 to strengthening and developing the friendly and cooperative relations between the two localities.
