On the afternoon of October 10, in Da Nang City, the Department of Industry and Trade of the city organized a training course on "Digital transformation - Solutions for businesses to participate in the global supply chain" to provide information, update knowledge on digital transformation and effectively apply digital transformation solutions in import and export activities of businesses in the city.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tru - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City said that the digital economy is gradually becoming the main direction of economic development, especially in the context of Vietnam's increasingly deep integration into the world economy. Digital transformation, for businesses, is a process of changing thinking, applying technology and digital to improve the efficiency of production and business activities, increase revenue and enhance the competitiveness of businesses.
Digital technology applications serving export enterprises in collecting, analyzing data, automating business processes, management, etc. can be mentioned as: Software, information systems, artificial intelligence (AI), IoT (Internet of Things), cloud computing, etc.
“ The program will help businesses have more information about digital transformation, applying digital transformation in the import-export sector to shape production and business activities to gradually improve production capacity and expand the market,” said Mr. Tru.
At the program, businesses were updated with information on the digital transformation plan of Da Nang city, the digital transformation plan of the city's Industry and Trade sector until 2030. In addition, experts informed import-export businesses about the digital transformation trend and factory standards to participate in the global supply chain; suggested some digital transformation solutions to promote import and export; approached the digital transformation trend with cross-border e-commerce...
According to Dr. Nguyen Kieu Trang - Vietnam - Korea University of Information Technology and Communications - Danang University, digital transformation in import-export enterprises is reflected in the following factors: Market search; origin of goods; geographical indications; digital documents (digital contracts, digital signatures); international digital trade policies. In particular, for market search, digital transformation in import-export is clearly reflected through activities of connecting, promoting products, promoting online trade, thereby supporting Vietnamese import-export enterprises in finding partners and orders. For origin of goods, digital transformation of applications such as: Traceability management; goods authentication stamps, software for tracing the origin of Vietnamese seafood, etc.
At the program, the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang, the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang coordinated with partners to support the issuance of free personal digital signatures for import-export enterprises in the city. |
According to the digital transformation plan of the Industry and Trade sector of Da Nang City for the period of 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, the goal by 2025 is that the digital economy will account for at least 20% of the added value of the e-commerce sector; at least 90% of enterprises will have e-commerce accounts and cashless payments in e-commerce; 50% of industrial manufacturing enterprises will use digital data and digital technology in production. By 2030, the goal is that the proportion of the digital economy will account for at least 30% of the added value of the e-commerce sector; 100% of enterprises will have e-commerce accounts and cashless payments in e-commerce transactions; 70% of industrial manufacturing enterprises will use digital data and digital technology in production.
