Da Nang: Awarding 55 prizes to works of high artistic value

On the morning of November 21, in Da Nang, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City held a ceremony to summarize and award the competition for writing short stories, memoirs, poems, music, stage scripts, and documentary scripts.

The 2025 literary and artistic creation campaign launched by the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City from January 13 to September 30 has attracted a large response from artists inside and outside the city.

After more than 8 months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received 793 works from 333 authors inside and outside the city, not only showing wide response but also proving the strong vitality, enthusiasm and ability to capture the breath of life of the artists.

The selection process was conducted seriously and objectively. As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 55 prizes, including 5 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 16 C prizes and 24 consolation prizes. These are typical works in terms of content, form and artistic value.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Danang City Union of Literature and Arts Associations Nguyen Nho Khiem said that, overall, the Campaign showed a clear change in the quality of writing. Many authors boldly innovated their thinking, experimented with forms of expression, and brought diverse and fresh perspectives.

According to Mr. Nguyen Nho Khiem, the entries cover a wide range of topics from daily life, nature, festivals, people, to history, culture, love of homeland and modern emotions. Each work is not only the crystallization of personal creativity but also a bridge between the past and the present, between people and the city, contributing to creating a rich and vibrant appearance of Da Nang literature and art today.

In the coming time, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang city will continue to promote the achieved results; strengthen training activities, introduce typical authors and works; step up promotion, publishing, performance and exhibition to bring the works of the Campaign closer to the public.

At the same time, focus on discovering, nurturing and promoting young creative forces, creating conditions for them to assert themselves, contributing to building a sustainable, modern and richly-identified Da Nang literature and art scene in Quang Nam.
