According to information from the Command Headquarters of Brigade 146 (Naval Region 4), upon receiving forecasts about the possibility of a strong low-pressure system intensifying and causing strong winds and thunderstorms in the area, the islands quickly activated their notification systems, reviewed disaster prevention plans, inspected ship mooring systems, warehouses, and barracks; and reinforced vulnerable locations to ensure uninterrupted communication.
On islands such as Truong Sa, Song Tu Tay, Son Ca, Nam Yet, etc., the combat-ready forces have been reinforced; logistics and technical units are focusing on checking power and water supplies, and reserve supplies. Officers and soldiers are assisting island residents in reinforcing their houses and gathering items that could be blown away by the wind.

Regarding fishing activities, the islands have intensified loudspeaker announcements, advising fishing vessels operating near the Truong Sa Special Economic Zone to move to safe waters; and guiding vessels to shelter in harbors when necessary. The military medical systems on the islands have prepared emergency supplies, ready to assist fishermen in case of incidents during bad weather.
Chairman of the People's Committee of the Truong Sa Special Zone, Pham Thanh Liem, emphasized: "The islands always adhere to the principle of not being caught off guard or surprised by any weather developments. The guiding principle is to be proactive from early on, prepare well in advance, and implement timely and correct procedures; ensuring absolute safety for soldiers and people on the islands, while creating a solid foundation for fishermen to confidently venture out to sea in complex weather conditions."
The tropical depression continues to move slowly and remains highly variable. Brigade 146 maintains strict duty rosters, closely monitoring weather developments and ready to mobilize forces and equipment to participate in rescue and relief operations when necessary.
Some images show the Truong Sa Special Zone implementing a comprehensive range of measures to respond to tropical depressions, ensuring absolute safety for officers, soldiers, and people living and working on the islands:
