Speaking at the program, Mr. Ngo Thanh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, said: The history of Vietnam - India relations originated from the process of cultural and religious exchange more than 2,000 years ago and was built and nurtured by the leaders of the two countries. More than 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations , despite the complicated fluctuations of the regional and world situation, Vietnam - India has always maintained a sustainable friendship and increasingly developed well in many fields .
In recent years, along with focusing all resources on socio-economic development and promoting foreign investment, Ha Nam province has also paid great attention to foreign affairs and international cultural cooperation with diverse content and forms. The province has coordinated with the Embassy and many foreign localities (including India) to successfully organize large-scale cultural and sports exchange events, meeting the people's need to enjoy art.

Led by renowned choreographer and artistic director Pratibha Sharma, the Pratibha Kala Kendra folk dance troupe comprises talented Indian dancers, musicians and costume designers. Renowned for their vibrant performances of traditional Indian folk dances, the Pratibha Kala Kendra performances present a kaleidoscope of Indian culture, featuring a wide variety of folk dances from different parts of the country, most notably from the Braj region. The Pratibha Kala Kendra folk dance troupe’s tour in Vietnam took place from March 26-31 in the provinces and cities of Hanoi, Ha Nam, Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai and Yen Bai. In addition to the exciting performances, the tour also included workshops, giving the audience the opportunity to learn about the history, dance techniques and characteristics of Indian folk dances from the artists themselves. |
