On the afternoon of July 21, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) officially announced the threshold to ensure input quality (floor score) for admission to regular universities according to 5 methods.
The floor score remains stable compared to last year.
The minimum score for 2025 of UEH Ho Chi Minh City campus (KSA) based on the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test combined with English proficiency is 702 points (1,200-point scale);
Admission method for candidates with good academic results of 22 points (30-point scale with admission combinations of 3 subjects/exams corresponding to each training program);
Admission method is based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam combined with 20-point English proficiency (30-point scale) - for training programs: Vietnamese program, full English program, partial English program (details of majors here); ISB Bbus talented bachelor program; ISB ASEAN Co-op program.
Floor score of training majors at Vinh Long - UEH Mekong (KSV) admission method based on the results of the capacity assessment test of Ho Chi Minh City National University combined with English proficiency 601 points ;
Admission method is based on the results of the V-SAT university entrance exam organized by Can Tho University in 2025 combined with English proficiency of 225 points (450-point scale);
Admission method: Good academic results 19.5 points (30-point scale with admission combinations of 3 subjects/exams corresponding to each training program).
Admission method is based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam combined with English proficiency of 16 points (on a 30-point scale) - for training programs: agricultural business, administration, international business, logistics and supply chain management, marketing, finance, banking, tax, business accounting, hotel management, e-commerce, business English, economic law, technology and innovation, robotics and artificial intelligence (engineering system).
The above floor score does not include priority points by region or subject, and is not multiplied by coefficient.
The benchmark will fluctuate up/down by 1 point.
At the same time, the school revealed that with the current registration status, UEH predicts that the benchmark score will fluctuate up/down by about 1 point, depending on the training program.
Up to now, UEH has received a large number of applications at both the Ho Chi Minh City campus and the UEH Mekong campus.
At KSA, 70% of the applications are from candidates with excellent academic achievements or higher, or are specialized school students, excellent students at the provincial/municipal level, 40% have international English certificates equivalent to IELTS from 6.0 or TOEFL iBT from 73 points or higher, or have excellent student awards at the provincial/municipal level.
At KSV, 50% of the applications are from candidates with excellent academic achievements or higher, or are specialized school students, excellent students at the provincial/municipal level, 20% have international English certificates equivalent to IELTS from 6.0 or TOEFL iBT from 73 points or higher, or have excellent student awards at the provincial/municipal level.
With the current profile situation, the benchmark score is expected to fluctuate up/down within 1.0 points depending on the training program.
Admission timelines at UEH
- Until 5:00 p.m. on July 28: Candidates provide proof of registration for admission methods 3, 4, 5 at https://xettuyenk51.ueh.edu.vn/.
To increase the chance of admission, candidates need to submit an international English certificate (IELTS 6.0 or higher); first, second, third prizes in the provincial/city-level high school student selection exam; awards/recognition of the title of excellent/good student in grades 10, 11, 12.
- By 5:00 p.m. on July 28: Candidates provide proof of PT2 admission, submit directly to UEH or send by express mail.
- By 5:00 p.m. on July 28: Candidates must simultaneously perform 2 tasks: (1) provide evidence of the criteria for admission to PT2, PT3, PT4, PT5 according to the announcement of UEH and (2) register and adjust admission wishes on the admission portal of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Before 5:00 p.m. on July 23: UEH announces the admission score and equivalent admission score on the UEH admission portal and the ministry's system.
- Before 5:00 p.m. on August 22: Announcement of admission results at UEH admission portal.
UEH's 2025 enrollment methods include:
PT1: Direct admission method according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
PT2: Admission method for candidates who graduated from foreign high school programs and have international certificates.
PT3: Admission method for candidates with good academic results.
PT4: Admission method for candidates with test results assessing their ability combined with their English ability.
PT5: Admission method is based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam combined with English proficiency.
International University Floor Score: 15 - 24 points
International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University) has just announced the minimum scores for admission to training programs according to the admission methods using the results of the competency assessment exam (PT2) and the admission method using the results of the high school graduation exam (PT3) with the range from 15 - 25 points.
The minimum score for English language majors (programs with degrees granted by International Universities and programs in association with foreign universities) is calculated on a 40-point scale (English subject scores are multiplied by a coefficient of 2);
The floor score for the business - management - economics group (programs with degrees granted by International University and programs in conjunction with foreign universities) is calculated on a 35-point scale (English subject score is multiplied by a coefficient of 1.5);
The floor scores for the following majors: mathematics - information technology, life sciences and chemistry, and engineering (programs with degrees granted by International University and programs in conjunction with foreign universities) are calculated on a 30-point scale.
