The 1st National Assembly Party Congress held a preparatory session.

On the morning of September 24, at the National Assembly House, the 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025-2030, held a preparatory session. Politburo member, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man chaired the meeting.

Under the direction of Standing Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, the Congress elected the Presidium and Secretariat of the Congress; elected the Delegate Qualification Examination Committee; and approved the Program and Working Regulations of the Congress.

Delegates listened to the presentation of the Report synthesizing comments on the draft Political Report to be submitted to the 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025-2030; listened to the presentations and announcement of the division into discussion groups.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man acknowledged and highly appreciated the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee, the specialized Deputy Secretaries, the Party Committee's Committees, the Congress Service Subcommittees, the supporting agencies of the National Assembly Party Committee, the affiliated departments and all Party members, civil servants, public employees and workers of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Office and the State Audit Office for actively participating in preparing for the Congress.

The National Assembly Chairman pointed out that the documents of the Congress, including the Political Report and the Review Report, were carefully prepared by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee, with comments from many agencies and the Central Theoretical Council. Thanks to that, the Congress documents when submitted to the Politburo were highly appreciated for being concise, focused, easy to understand and easy to remember.

The National Assembly Chairman requested the National Assembly Party Committee to continue to thoroughly grasp and promote the issues recognized and highly appreciated by the Politburo, and at the same time pay attention to leading and directing the implementation of the contents suggested by the Politburo so that in the future, the Ethnic Council and the National Assembly Committees "must be even better, and must be even more excellent."

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that the 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025-2030, is of utmost importance, shaping the strategic and epochal activities of the National Assembly, leading the country's development into a new era, an era of national growth.

"We must pay special attention to Party spirit in the National Assembly Party Committee. We must promote democracy but must be unified and focused to promptly institutionalize the Party's policies," the National Assembly Chairman noted.

In the context of the National Assembly's increasing workload, including many urgent, difficult, complicated, unexpected, and unprecedented tasks; the organization and apparatus within the National Assembly Party Committee have also been rearranged and reorganized in the past nearly 7 months. The National Assembly Party Committee needs to urgently perfect the organization and staff in its affiliated units, and arrange the Committees to ensure the organization and operation of the National Assembly Party Committee are streamlined and highly effective.

Party organizations in the National Assembly Party Committee, the Ethnic Council, the Committees, the State Audit, and the National Assembly delegations must operate regularly and effectively, improving the quality of National Assembly deputies. The National Assembly Standing Committee must closely follow the program, first of all this year, and the law-making program for the 2026-2031 term that is being prepared to be submitted to the Politburo; continue to organize the National Assembly's Supervisory Activities Forum and the Law-making Forum - two forums that the Politburo assessed as "appropriate and well-regarded" to improve the quality of law-making.

The National Assembly Chairman also noted that it is necessary to continue promoting coordination with agencies in the political system, first of all, coordinating with the Government in building and enforcing laws; continue to more carefully evaluate the model of organizational arrangement and apparatus in the National Assembly; carefully prepare to successfully organize important events of the National Assembly in the coming time such as: Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly, the political art program "Glory of the Vietnamese National Assembly," the fourth Dien Hong Award ceremony...; especially the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

Previously, on the morning of September 24, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man led the delegation attending the 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025-2030, to lay wreaths and visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

Next, the Party Executive Committee of the National Assembly for the 2020-2025 term laid wreaths and offered incense at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street.

The 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025-2030, was attended by 300 official delegates, who are exemplary party members representing 2,804 party members currently active in 11 party committees under the National Assembly Party Committee.

With the theme "Building a clean and strong Party organization in all aspects; leading the National Assembly to strongly innovate, improve the quality and efficiency of operations, and steadily enter the era of prosperous, prosperous, civilized and happy development of the nation" and the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough", the Congress is an important political event, summarizing the activities of the National Assembly Party Delegation, the Party Committee of the National Assembly Office, the Party Personnel Committee of the State Audit, the Party Committee of the State Audit, the Party Committee of the National Assembly in the period 2020-2025; determining the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the term 2025-2030; discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The official session of the 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025-2030, will take place on the morning of September 25./.
