(BDO) On the afternoon of November 14, at Becamex New City Hotel, Binh Duong Wood Processing Association (BIFA) held its 6th congress for the 2024-2027 term. Attending the congress were Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of departments, branches, localities and nearly 400 BIFA members.

According to BIFA's assessment report, after 5 terms of establishment, BIFA has achieved many remarkable results, contributing to promoting socio -economic development in Binh Duong province; representing the wood processing industry to bring the voice and aspirations of enterprises to all levels and sectors; demonstrating the role of cooperation and being a bridge between 415 member enterprises.
Mr. Mai Hung Dung presented flowers to congratulate the congress and presented a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to BIFA.
During the period of 2021-2024, BIFA actively cooperated with members to build and develop the association to become stronger. The image and name of BIFA have been known to many organizations at home and abroad. The Association has received certificates of merit from: the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Industry and Trade, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province. At the same time, the Association also demonstrates its responsibility to the community by participating in contributing to the "Green Vietnam" Fund with other Associations across the country.
This congress continued to elect Mr. Nguyen Liem as Chairman of the Association and agreed to establish 7 functional committees in charge of providing professional support, information, and activities for association members.
Mr. Nguyen Van Loc presented flowers to congratulate the BIFA Executive Committee for the 2024-2027 term.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Nguyen Liem affirmed that in the 6th term, the Executive Board of BIFA will create highlights for a new breakthrough in the direction of tasks to firmly integrate and develop with member enterprises, ready to face new challenges and new opportunities, worthy of being the leading flag in sustainable economic development and innovation of the province.
