Opening the competition night, the Orion Fireworks team from Canada with the work “Star Dust - Magic Starlight”, took the audience on a journey to explore the universe, with clusters of fireworks exploding like sparkling shooting stars in the sky of Da Nang. Each layer of fireworks gently bloomed, simulating the stars: sometimes falling softly like a meteor shower, sometimes rotating like moving constellations. The climax gradually pushed up with bursts of bright red, golden, and green fireworks blooming simultaneously like a big explosion of the universe. The colors of the fireworks were delicately coordinated, smoothly changing to the melodies of songs like “Power of Love” and “Never give up on your dreams”, making the already visually pleasing performance even more emotionally moving.

If Canada led the audience to fly among the stars, Jiangxi Yanfeng, the current runner-up of DIFF 2024 from China, chose a storytelling style with a strong oriental feel through the performance of “Journey to the West”. The entire performance was led by a song “The Road We Take”, which helped the story to be seamless, consistent and full of emotions. The Chinese team showed their class with fireworks effects that they researched and produced themselves, in which the highlight was the multi-layered color-changing fireworks, flexible and vivid like a mythical film. The precise fireworks processing technique and deep composition left the audience in awe. A comeback that affirmed the mettle of the Asian fireworks powerhouse, showing that sometimes fireworks are not just for viewing, but also for listening to wordless stories told by light.

Along with the eye-catching fireworks displays, the audience was also immersed in the vibrant music festival space with the participation of singer Noo Phuoc Thinh, Meritorious Artist Phuong Anh, along with the TV music group and hundreds of domestic and international artists. The grandiose art program, elaborately staged, stirred up the atmosphere by the Han River. Amidst the bustling fireworks and resounding music, the outdoor virtual reality technology Sky AR also made its own impression. From the opening night until now, this interactive experience has continuously created a positive effect on the tourist community, especially the young. Sky AR not only increases the connection between the audience and the festival, but also affirms Da Nang's progress in applying digital technology to enhance the tourism experience.
