On November 26, the Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee ordered all boats to stop going to sea and stop all fishing activities at sea to respond to storm No. 15.
The ban on sea travel will begin at 6am on November 26th until storm No. 15 dissipates. Authorities will closely monitor weather developments and notify fishermen to resume operations when safety is assured.
The Provincial People's Committee requests relevant agencies and units, along with the People's Committees of coastal communes and wards, and relevant organizations and individuals to strictly comply with the ban.
In particular, fishing vessels must enter safe shelters and anchor according to instructions; absolutely do not leave people on board ships, aquaculture cages or watchtowers.
Ship repair, shipbuilding and maritime transport activities must also implement disaster prevention measures as planned.

Previously, to proactively respond to storm No. 15, Ms. Ho Thi Nguyen Thao - Permanent Vice Chairwoman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - said that she had requested about 70 fishing boats in the risk area to take shelter in safe places; irrigation and hydropower reservoirs to regulate discharge and coordinate with Gia Lai to receive floods.
Localities in the eastern region have been warned of the risk of landslides and flash floods, while border guards monitor boats and update the movement direction of the low pressure and storm No. 15.
The province also built a plan to evacuate nearly 23,000 people if the storm is strong at level 9-10, gusting to level 12; and a plan to evacuate nearly 8,000 households with 29,000 people if the water level of the Ba, Ky Lo, and Ban Thach rivers reaches warning level 2-3.
Measures were activated synchronously to ensure the safety of people and vehicles and minimize damage, in the context that the province is still overcoming the consequences of the recent historic flood.
