Dak Nong awards and grants 2 billion VND in scholarships to students

The meeting aims to review and agree on the policy of awarding prizes and scholarships to students with outstanding academic achievements, students who overcome difficulties to study well; rewarding managers and teachers who have achieved achievements in discovering and nurturing excellent students; and teachers with serious illnesses.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education, Chairman of the Provincial Fund for Promotion of Education Management Board Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh chaired the meeting of the Dak Nong Provincial Fund for Promotion of Education Management Board.

The province has nearly 1,600 cases proposed for awards and financial support with a total value of about 2 billion VND. In particular, special awards and scholarships are given to students who won first prize of the week in the 25th Road to Olympia program; students who won national prizes (second and third) in the National High School Excellent Student Competition for the 2024-2025 school year; students who won bronze medals in the Central Highlands Olympic Games; students who achieved high results at the National and Regional Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024 and 1,431 students with difficult circumstances who achieved high academic achievements and students from especially difficult villages and communes with good academic achievements.

Delegates discussed and exchanged about the level of support, awards and scholarships in different cases.

The Department of Education and Training proposed to consider and reward managers and teachers who achieved achievements in discovering and nurturing students who won prizes in the 2024-2025 National High School Excellent Student Competition and teachers who achieved achievements at the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024; support about 40 cases of teachers with serious illnesses.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education, Chairman of the Management Board of the Dak Nong Provincial Fund for Promotion of Education Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh requested that the organization awarding awards and scholarships to officials, teachers and students must be timely, solemn and meaningful.

After reviewing the specific support level for each case as proposed by the Department of Education and Training, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh suggested adjusting the support budget and awarding prizes to beneficiaries to ensure compliance with regulations and reality.
Relevant units develop plans and organize the provision of support funds and awards to staff, teachers and students to ensure timeliness, solemnity and meaning.
