Ensuring medical examination, treatment and accident emergency care in Dong Nai during the April 30 and May 1 holidays

(DN) - On April 27, Deputy Director of the Department of Health Nguyen Van Binh said that the Department has directed all affiliated units, public and private hospitals in the province to fully implement the necessary requirements to ensure medical examination and treatment, and emergency treatment for traffic accidents during the upcoming April 30 and May 1 holidays.

Accordingly, units must ensure full on-duty duty at all 4 levels of leadership, professional, administrative - logistical and security - self-defense. Organize emergency care, medical examination and treatment well, ensure all emergency patients are examined and treated, and must not refuse or delay emergency treatment. If the emergency is out of line or out of specialty, it is necessary to provide initial emergency treatment and stabilization, and fully explain to the patient and family before transferring to another hospital.

Hospitals must assign permanent emergency staff to be ready and promptly respond to mass accidents, serious traffic accidents, and mass disasters if they occur locally.

In particular, relevant units are responsible for ensuring food safety and hygiene, preventing food poisoning, drowning, stampedes, and warning of accidents at crowded places.

The leaders of the Department of Health also directed units to strictly implement the reporting regime according to regulations.

Following the direction of the Department of Health, hospitals in the province have prepared the necessary conditions to serve medical examination, treatment and emergency care during the holidays.

Specialist Doctor I Duong Hoai Vu, Head of the Emergency Department, Thong Nhat General Hospital, said that the department has made a specific plan to prepare for the April 30 and May 1 holidays, including issues of personnel, equipment, medical supplies, and connection with related departments in the hospital when there are serious and difficult cases. In addition, the department also prepares a plan to receive and clearly classify patients into serious and mild cases to avoid congestion, affecting the emergency care of patients.

The Emergency Department of Dong Nai General Hospital has also arranged adequate human resources, medicines, equipment, medical supplies, etc. to ensure emergency care for patients.
