Singer Dan Truong sat in the "hot seat" with To Huu Bang and Truong Luong Dinh in episode 5 of the program 'Sing! Asia', broadcast on the afternoon of June 6. Both performed a part of the song "Biet Khuc Cho Nhau" from the movie "Tan Dong Song Ly Biet" . The movie's soundtrack was loved by audiences when the movie aired in 2001, performed by Trieu Vy. Dan Truong once filmed a MV for this song with Vietnamese lyrics by musician Le Quang.
The singer said he was a bit embarrassed when he met Su You Peng at the "Sing! Asia" stage. "It was my first time working with a foreign star, so I didn't know what his personality was like. So when we interacted, I was shy and a bit clumsy because I didn't know what to say," said Dan Truong. After this collaboration, Dan Truong said the two still kept in touch, occasionally texting and chatting.
Dan Truong loved the singing and acting of To Huu Bang in the 1990s. He once covered two famous songs of the actor: "Rain on the Love Story" (Vietnamese lyrics: Le Quang) and "Con le mot minh" (Vietnamese lyrics: Nguyen Ngoc Thien).
In addition to singing with Su Huu Bang, Dan Truong also performed with judge Truong Luong Dinh the song "Cat Doi Noi Sorrow".
"Sing! Asia" is a 30-day music competition on a cruise ship, organized by the iQiYi platform (China). The judges include famous artists in Asia such as Dan Truong, Truong Luong Dinh, Vu Truong Tinh, Lam Chi Dinh, To Huu Bang, and Co Cu Ky. The ship departs from Shanghai (China) to Okinawa (Japan), stops at Ha Long Bay (Vietnam), Singapore, Malaysia, and stops in Hong Kong.
32 singers and bands from Asia will go through the rounds of Confrontation, Competition, and Glory to find the winner. Phuong My Chi is a Vietnamese singer participating in this program.
