Previously, on September 27, director Phi Tien Son's film was chosen as Vietnam's official representative to attend the preliminary round of the 97th Oscars. This decision was made after a careful selection process by the National Film Selection Council.

This year, the Department of Cinema, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the submission of films for the selection of Vietnamese films for the Oscars from August 9, 2024 and received 4 films registered to participate including: Dao, Pho and Piano; The Price of Happiness; Lat Mat 7: Mot Uoc and Mai. On September 23, 2024, the Selection Council worked and selected Dao, Pho and Piano to represent Vietnam.

The film created a fever for ticket hunting in early 2024. In addition, the film won the Silver Lotus Award at the 23rd Vietnam Film Festival and the Silver Kite Award at the Vietnam Cinema Association Awards.

Peach, Pho and Piano will be broadcast on VTV1 at 9:20 p.m. on October 13.
