Other memorabilia from the late artist's short life, such as sketches, photos, and even swimming goggles, will also be auctioned.
Kruse GWS co-founder Brigitte Kruse said the guitar would be a hit at the auction, with a possible sale price of tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars. She said the auction would take place online on August 26, with more than 350 items of memorabilia, including costumes from movies or once owned by Hollywood singers and actors.
According to Ms. Kruse, in addition to Kurt Cobain's items, other memorabilia owned by the "King" of Rock Elvis Presley is also the focus of the auction, from a custom-made jewelry set that could be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, to the Internet domain name "ElvisPresley.com". Ms. Kruse said the website is not used for commercial purposes, but will still be estimated at around $100,000. Previously, in 2019 and 2021, Kruse GWS also held auctions of items belonging to the American music icon Presley, including a red Hagstrom Viking II guitar, or a Harley-Davidson FLH 1200 Electra Glide - the last motorcycle Elvis Presley bought before his death.
In addition, props used by famous actor Jamie Foxx in the 2006 blockbuster "Dream Girls", including sunglasses, rings or bracelets, as well as cars from the hit series "Fast & Furious" or the 1991 action film "Thelma and Louise" will also be auctioned in this session.
