
In the rapid chess event, Dau Khuong Duy and Duong Ngoc Uyen were the two individuals who won individual gold medals. In the U14 men's group, Dau Khuong Duy scored 6 points after 7 games, thereby ranking 1st overall. Dau Khuong Duy did not lose any games in the rapid chess matches, having 5 wins and 2 draws.
In the U14 women's group, player Duong Ngoc Uyen surpassed her opponents to maintain the number 1 position with a score of 6.5 points after 7 matches. Ngoc Uyen won 6 games and drew 1 game in her rapid chess matches.
In addition to the above achievements, the Vietnam Youth Chess Team also won 6 other gold medals in team results. At the tournament, the Organizing Committee selected the results of the 3 best players of each team as the final team result.
The 2025 Asian Youth Chess Championship will run until November 30. This year’s tournament will feature rapid, blitz, and standard chess for men and women in the U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, and U18 categories.
After the rapid chess event, the players are now competing in standard chess. Standard chess also counts individual and team results to award the final medals. Blitz chess will be played on the final day.
