The authorities have just successfully connected the power system from the 110kV transformer station of Long Thanh International Airport ( Dong Nai ) to the 22kV power receiving station.

Accordingly, the Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board has successfully connected the power system from the 110kV transformer station to the 22kV receiving station (medium voltage), officially ensuring power supply for the inspection and trial run of a series of important technical items of the project.

The 110kV transformer station was built within the project area, including 2 transformers with a total capacity of 80MVA (40MVA x 2). Up to now, the entire transformer station has been completed, meeting the requirements for stable and continuous power supply for Long Thanh International Airport during both the construction and official operation phases. Putting the station into operation has contributed to reducing the 22kV power supply radius, limiting power loss and ensuring voltage quality for aviation equipment with high technical requirements.

According to the Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board, on average, Long Thanh International Airport consumes about 730,000kWh of electricity per month, equivalent to the usage of a large enterprise in Dong Nai province. This figure shows the huge scale of operation of the project even before it officially comes into operation.

The successful connection of the power system is considered a particularly important technical milestone, creating the premise for implementing testing and trial operation of the systems.

The successful connection of the power system is considered a particularly important technical milestone, creating the premise for the implementation of testing and trial operation of flight control systems, airport lighting, runways, passenger terminals and specialized technical equipment. This is also a key preparation step, towards the goal of welcoming the first technical flight on December 19 according to the plan assigned by the Government .

Long Thanh International Airport is built on an area of over 5,000 hectares in Long Thanh commune, Dong Nai province. When all phases are completed, the airport's service capacity will reach 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo per year.

This is the largest airport project in the country to date, in terms of area, total investment and strategic role in the national and regional aviation network.
