Effectively combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods

Accordingly, the Provincial Steering Committee 389 requests the departments and branches that are members of the Provincial Steering Committee 389 and the Steering Committees 389 of districts, towns and cities to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the directives of the Government, the Prime Minister, and the National Steering Committee 389 on the prevention and combat of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods. Strictly implement regulations on fighting, preventing and repelling the degradation of political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, preventing and combating corruption and negativity, combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods within the functional forces; strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate the law.

Proactively research and develop programs, plans and solutions to combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in line with market developments. Effectively combat and prevent the illegal trading and transportation of drugs, smuggling, illegal transportation of gold, foreign currency, and counterfeit goods of Vietnamese origin for export to other countries; production and trading of counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, and goods that infringe intellectual property rights for items such as food supplements, nutritional products (in the form of powdered milk), functional foods, modern medicines, cooking oil, MSG, seasoning powder, seasoning powder, pesticides, cosmetics, clothing, footwear and other consumer goods.

Departments, branches, agencies and units promote digital transformation, apply information technology in combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; enhance connectivity, sharing and provision of information; deploy and improve the effectiveness of hotlines, collect and promptly process reports from the masses.

Strengthen inspection and supervision in combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods for the task force;educate cadres and civil servants to improve their professional qualifications, skills, awareness, political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, not to assist, protect, or cover up smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding and typical achievements. Develop a project to improve capacity and increase investment in purchasing modern means and equipment to improve the effectiveness of combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, ensuring the safety of cadres and civil servants in performing their duties.
