Invest over 4.5 billion VND to implement poverty reduction projects

Implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, from central and local counterpart funds, in 2025, the People's Committee of Pho Yen City invested over 4.5 billion VND to implement poverty reduction projects. Of which, the central budget allocated over 3.9 billion VND, local budget 599 million VND.

In poverty reduction projects, Pho Yen City is interested in implementing the Livelihood Diversification Project, developing poverty reduction models by supporting poor, near-poor, and newly escaped-poverty households to develop production and business, in order to create jobs and improve income.

From the above funding source, the People's Committee of Pho Yen City has directed the specialized department to implement 5 poverty reduction projects, including: Diversifying livelihoods, developing poverty reduction models; supporting production development, improving nutrition; developing vocationaleducation and sustainable employment; communicating and reducing poverty information; improving capacity to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Program.

Particularly for the Project on diversifying livelihoods and developing poverty reduction models, Pho Yen City prioritizes allocating over 1.8 billion VND in funding to support poor, near-poor, and newly escaped-poverty households to develop production, business, services, tourism , and start-ups. On this basis, the City Department of Natural Resources and Environment is currently focusing on reviewing and selecting households for support according to community proposals, ensuring that it is consistent with the reality and needs of the people.

In poverty reduction projects, Pho Yen City is interested in implementing the Livelihood Diversification Project, developing poverty reduction models by supporting poor, near-poor, and newly escaped-poverty households to develop production and business, in order to create jobs and improve income.

In 2024, Pho Yen City will have 590 poor households (accounting for 1.16%), 913 near-poor households (2.04%). In 2025, the locality strives to reduce 132 poor households, 136 near-poor households; support poor and near-poor households with at least one member of working age to have a sustainable job...
