On the afternoon of December 1, at a working session with the Can Tho City Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Quang Duc, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission's survey delegation, highly appreciated the development orientations of Can Tho City after the merger proposed at the recent City Party Congress. The settlement of administrative procedures after the merger was approved by the people. The city has done a good job in implementing policies and guidelines to the commune level.

The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission said that the comments of cadres, party members and people on the draft Political Report and documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress will be received by the Survey Delegation to complete the draft documents; at the same time, he suggested that the city continue to pay close attention to the organization and operation of the two-level local government, overcome shortcomings in the operation process, and ensure smooth and effective operation.

According to Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee, the majority of cadres, party members and people highly appreciated the preparation work of the City Party Congress; expressed their agreement, trust and great expectations for the goals and tasks set out by the Congress. The exciting and vibrant atmosphere spread strongly throughout the area, contributing to strengthening the trust and affirming the consensus and expectations of the people for the City Party Committee. Regarding the organization and operation of the two-level local government, many positive public opinions were recorded such as: decentralization, stronger delegation of power to the grassroots, helping to reduce many intermediate steps, administrative procedures were resolved quickly, with clear responsibilities.

Regarding the comments of cadres, party members and people on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party, up to now, the city has recorded over 27,100 direct comments at conferences, seminars and forums; nearly 1.1 million comments through the VneID application; over 100 written comments through the mail and newspaper system.

Cadres, party members and people expressed their interest, consensus and high confidence in the draft Political Report and documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress and said that the drafts were carefully and scientifically prepared, with many new points, demonstrating the Party's strategic vision, innovative thinking and comprehensive, systematic approach.

Working scene.

People pay special attention to the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system, considering this a key task to maintain the Party's leadership role. Regarding socio-economic development, many opinions believe that the Party and State need to have policies to stabilize the macro-economy, ensure social security, support businesses and workers; promote digital transformation, develop green economy, knowledge economy, and high-tech agriculture.

In the socio-cultural field, people are interested in building and developing Vietnamese people in the new era, focusing on moral education, lifestyle, and social behavior; improving the quality of education, health care, social insurance, environmental protection, and effectively responding to climate change.

Regarding national defense, security and foreign affairs, the people expressed their confidence and high consensus on the policy of firmly protecting independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, maintaining political stability, order and social security; at the same time, they hoped that the Party and State would strengthen propaganda work, fight against erroneous and hostile arguments, and maintain a peaceful environment for national development.
