Since the beginning of the year, the activities have been widely responded to by union members and workers; the number of participants and the amount of money donated are higher than last year. The labor relations situation in enterprises in the two industrial parks is stable. Some enterprises are in need of recruiting a large number of workers to expand production scale. However, the number of recruitments of enterprises is currently not enough to meet the demand.
Regarding wages, all enterprises pay higher than the regional minimum wage as prescribed in Decree 74/2024/ND-CP, dated June 30, 2024 of the Government, the average income of workers ranges from 6.3 million VND or more. The activities of the trade union organization have many advantages, well propagating the Party's policies, the State's policies and laws; supervising the implementation of labor and trade union laws at enterprises.
In the first months of the year, especially during the Lunar New Year, the provincial industrial park trade unions and grassroots trade unions devoted resources to take care of union members and workers with a total value of more than 6 billion VND. In addition, 1,602 new union members were developed, bringing the total number to 17,885 union members/19,301 workers, currently operating at 12 affiliated grassroots trade unions.
Kicking off Workers' Month at Binh Hoa Industrial Park (Chau Thanh District), the Trade Union of An Giang Samho Company Limited opened with an exciting sports event for hundreds of union members and workers to participate in. The competitions include: Men's football, men's volleyball, women's football, men's 400m run, women's 200m run, marathon, mixed male and female tug of war.
Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of An Giang Province, Tran Luu Phong, said that the activities and key contents of the Workers' Month 2025 have been deployed by the unit to grassroots trade unions with the requirement of ensuring practicality, efficiency, focus, and suitability to the working and production conditions of the unit and enterprise.
The core activity is to take care of union members, especially those in difficult circumstances, occupational diseases, work accidents, etc. At the same time, there are also activities organized right at the grassroots level, attracting the participation and coordination of all levels, sectors, and organizations, creating a strong spread and attention from the whole society, especially employers and authorities at all levels, to the work, life and issues of workers.
Coordinate with Chau Thanh District Labor Federation and Chau Phu District Labor Federation to organize propaganda activities and care for union members and workers staying at Workers' Self-Management Groups in the two districts on the occasion of Workers' Month 2025. Focusing on the second quarter of 2025, the unit also organized the 2nd Conference of typical advanced workers in Industrial Parks (2020 - 2025)...
