Promoting the glorious tradition of the Capital Police force

On the afternoon of May 15, the Organizing Committee of the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025) of the City Public Security held a working conference with relevant agencies and units to deploy preparations for the series of commemorative activities.

Comrade Le Hong Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee attended and directed the conference.

At the conference, the representative of the Standing Committee of the City Police's commemorative activities presented a progress report on the organization of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection.

Accordingly, the City Police have coordinated with relevant units to successfully organize many activities towards the anniversary, such as: Ceremony to honor 10 outstanding young faces of the Capital Police, deploying a peak period of the Capital Police's youth volunteering to ensure security and order for Party Congresses at all levels, national events and international conferences; organizing a conference to study and disseminate some works of General Secretary To Lam - relating to the practical work of the Police in the Capital; organizing meetings with Hanoi Police officers supporting the Southern battlefield and relatives of Hanoi Police martyrs during the resistance war against the US to save the country...

From now until August 19, 2025, the city will continue to implement many key activities, including: Overall renovation and upgrading of the Hanoi City Police Museum; visual propaganda; organizing photo, poetry and song composition contests about the Capital Police soldiers; performing the play "Against the Peaceful Current"; exhibiting the theme "Uncle Ho with the Capital Police"; organizing an expanded sports festival and activities to show gratitude, return to the source, mobilize the people, and repay kindness; organizing the July flag-raising ceremony of the City Police at the Hanoi Flag Tower yard, the Thang Long Imperial Citadel relic site, etc.

The highlight of the series of activities is the 80th Anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th Anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection at the city level, scheduled to be held in early August 2025, broadcast live on Hanoi Television and social networking platforms.

Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Hong Son praised the City Police for proactively advising on the issuance of a plan to organize commemorative activities. He requested the City Police to continue to closely coordinate with relevant agencies to implement practical and effective activities; in particular, focusing on propaganda work to highlight the feats, achievements, and glorious history of the Capital Police force, thereby contributing to strengthening trust, arousing the sense of responsibility and solidarity in the whole society.
