In recent times, the collective economic sector, the core of which is the cooperatives of Da Huoai district, has had positive changes in both quantity and quality. In cooperatives in the 4.0 era, all members have equal rights, operate transparently, and promote the interests of members.

DEVELOPING AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVES IN THE 4.0 ERA

Currently, in the agricultural sector, there are 66 cooperatives operating in Da Huoai district. From 2024 to now, the district has developed 6 new cooperatives: Cat Tien Dairy Cattle Breeding and Service Cooperative, Nam Cat Tien Cooperative, Son Hai Agricultural and General Service Cooperative, Buon Go Agricultural and Service Cooperative, Da Pal Agricultural Pharmaceutical Cooperative, Nam Ninh Agricultural Service Cooperative. The total number of members participating in the cooperatives is 1,703, with a total charter capital of over 51 billion VND.

Outstanding activities of cooperatives related to durian products such as Da M'ri Agricultural Cooperative with a total of 128 members. The cooperative's activities are trading and supplying fertilizers, pesticides, and biological products to cooperative members and other households. Total revenue in 2024 is 7 billion VND, reaching a profit of 420 million VND; completing all expenses and fully paying tax obligations to the State, paying social insurance and health insurance for employees.

Ha Lam Agricultural Services and Garden Tourism Cooperative has 25 members and 130 associate members, with a charter capital of 485 million VND. In 2024, revenue reached 5 billion VND. In 2024, the Cooperative was granted 9 growing area codes with an area of ​​353.3 hectares, 151 households and VietGAP certification. Building a chain of links between households, cooperatives, producers and consumers.

Along with that, agricultural cooperatives produce silkworms and other services such as Cat Tien Agricultural and General Service Cooperative with 17 members, 137 associated members with a total charter capital of over 2.5 billion VND. In 2024, revenue will reach 3 billion VND, after-tax profit will reach 400 million VND, creating jobs for 20 workers. Social security policies for workers are guaranteed by the cooperative with a total of 20 workers. The cooperative builds a value chain linked with companies to supply input materials and consume output for agricultural products.

Cat Tien Mulberry Cooperative has 28 members and 43 associate members, with a total charter capital of 600 million VND. Based on the operating charter and production plan for 2024, the cooperative's revenue is 3.36 billion VND, creating regular jobs for 56 workers...

ACCOMPANYING COOPERATIVES

Implementing the policy of the District Party Committee and the plan of the District People's Committee on building and developing cooperatives, from the beginning of 2024 to April 2025, the Farmers' Association at all levels of the district coordinated to mobilize the establishment of 5 new cooperatives, thereby partly showing the change of farmers in cooperation to develop collective economy.

Accompanying the cooperatives, the District Farmers' Association organized meetings with leaders of agricultural cooperatives in the district; connected cooperatives to build mutual support relationships, exchange experiences in organizing activities and developing cooperatives, connecting cooperatives with businesses and banks.

The unit has implemented the 2024 Farmers Support Fund Project from the district, province and central budget with a total amount of VND 8.11 billion for 24 models and projects in the entire Da Huoai district. Of which, 22 projects focus on high-tech, organic durian production, 1 project on breeding dairy cows and 1 project on mulberry planting and silkworm raising. The projects have given priority to cooperative members if they need to borrow capital.

In addition, support cooperatives to connect with consulting enterprises, transfer science and technology, supply agricultural materials in the direction of applying high technology, applying biotechnology to serve sustainable organic production, support connection with banks to provide preferential loans. Some cooperatives have implemented effectively such as: Da M'ri Agricultural Cooperative, Ha Lam Agricultural and Garden Tourism Cooperative...

The District Farmers' Association helps act as a bridge for cooperatives to contact and implement tax and social insurance policies; connect with the district's functional departments and offices to support consulting on expanding production plans according to the needs of cooperatives; connect with the Lam Dong Provincial Center for Standards, Metrology and Quality to provide VietGAP certification services. Currently, the Center is implementing support for 2 VietGAP durian certification service packages in Nam Ninh and Da Kho communes, each package is 5 hectares.

The District Farmers' Association has sent Association officials at all levels to participate in training courses on professional skills to mobilize collective economic development; coordinated in selecting farmers to participate in training programs on professional skills to manage cooperative activities...

According to Mr. Hoang Thanh Nam - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Da Huoai district, in the coming time, the Association will continue to promote propaganda to raise awareness for officials and farmer members about the importance of collective economic development and linkage in agricultural production. Coordinate with cooperatives to support legal issues as well as issues related to cooperative management, growing areas and linkage contracts as well as purchase and sale contracts. Focus on finding solutions to support the activities of cooperatives that have been granted growing area codes and are operating effectively. Connect cooperatives in the district to build mutual support relationships. Continue to prioritize capital sources from the farmer support fund for cooperative members to borrow in projects; support connecting cooperative leaders with leaders of banks in the district to find capital sources for cooperatives to develop effective business plans, bringing profits to cooperative members...
