Nearly 1,000 students enter the 10th grade specialized high school entrance exam

(LĐ online) - On June 2, nearly 1,000 junior high school graduates took the 10th grade specialized entrance exam at two specialized high schools: Thang Long, Da Lat and Bao Loc specialized high schools.

Specifically, candidates registering for Thang Long High School for the Gifted will take the exam at Bui Thi Xuan High School (Da Lat City), while candidates registering for Bao Loc High School for the Gifted will take the exam at the school in Bao Loc City.

There were 491 candidates registered for the entrance exam to specialized classes at Thang Long High School for the Gifted, while the school was assigned a target of 315 students for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year. For Bao Loc High School for the Gifted, there were 471 candidates registered for the entrance exam and the school's target was 245 students.

The entrance exam for students of specialized schools in Lam Dong will take place over 3 days, from June 2 to 4. On June 2, procedures will be completed and exams for non-specialized subjects will be taken, and on June 3-4, candidates will take exams for specialized subjects according to their registration documents.

Previously, information from the Department of Education and Training said: Bao Loc Specialized High School enrolls students who have permanent residence or graduated from grade 9 at secondary schools in the districts: Di Linh, Bao Lam, Da Huoai and Bao Loc city.

Thang Long High School for the Gifted enrolls students who have permanent residence or graduated from grade 9 at secondary schools in the districts: Dam Rong, Duc Trong, Lam Ha, Don Duong, Lac Duong and Da Lat City.

For specialized classes in Geography, History, and French, Thang Long High School for the Gifted recruits students who have permanent residence or graduated from grade 9 in Lam Dong province.

This year, looking at the list of candidates and the number of students admitted, it can be seen that the rate of competition to enter Lam Dong's specialized high schools is not high. However, this also reflects the reality that the majority of excellent students, graduating from junior high school, who wish to study at specialized schools are mainly located in the two largest cities of the province, Bao Loc City and Da Lat City. Only a very small percentage of students from the remaining localities are supported by their parents and are determined to choose to study at specializededucational institutions at the high school level.
