Lam Dong Police opens Co Ho language training class

(LĐ online) - On May 29, Lam Dong Provincial Police organized the opening ceremony of the 2025 Co Ho ethnic language training class for 57 students who are police officers and soldiers currently working in ethnic minority areas throughout the province.

Colonel Bui Duc Thinh - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department spoke at the opening ceremony.

This activity is within the framework of the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2025 Period and the 2025 Co Ho Ethnic Language Training Plan of Lam Dong Police.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dan - Director of the Center for VocationalEducation - Continuing Education of Don Duong district spoke at the opening ceremony.

During nearly 3 months, students will be equipped with basic knowledge of the language and customs of the Co Ho people by teachers from the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Don Duong district.

This aims to help police officers and soldiers working in ethnic minority areas increase their knowledge, flexibly apply it to mass mobilization work, improve communication skills, thereby contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety at the grassroots level.

Mastering local languages ​​and cultures will further strengthen the relationship between the People's Public Security force and ethnic minorities.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Nam - Head of Personnel Organization Department, disseminated the course content to the students.

This is also the basis for officers and soldiers to give practical advice and proposals, contributing to the completion of the Ministry of Public Security's targets on the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2025 period.

Lam Dong is a province in the Central Highlands with 47 ethnic groups living there; of which, the Co Ho people account for about 14.5% of the province's population and live interspersed in most districts and cities, having a direct impact on many aspects of local work.

Equipping knowledge about ethnic minority languages ​​and cultures is extremely necessary for police officers and soldiers to be able to perform their duties well, contributing to building and strengthening the great national unity bloc.
