Currently, the Provincial Employment Service Center (Department of Home Affairs) is maintaining a periodic job exchange with online connections inside and outside the province, held every Monday at 4 headquarters (Ha Long City and 3 branches in Uong Bi, Cam Pha, Mong Cai). The unit also promotes connection activities with other provinces to attract workers from other provinces to Quang Ninh .
In order to avoid interrupting the connection between labor and employment, the Center has strengthened job transaction solutions, online sessions, and integration. At the same time, proactively coordinate with units and localities inside and outside the province to collect information, investigate, survey, and grasp the labor supply situation, thereby implementing effective job consulting and referral measures; increase the provision of job information content on the fanpage system of the Quang Ninh Employment Service Center, Quang Ninh Employment Exchange; proactively exploit labor recruitment needs, vocational training enrollment, job search needs, and vocational training.
The Center also diversifies forms of propaganda on labor introduction for enterprises licensed to send Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts, organizations and individuals investing abroad, or public service units under ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and government agencies assigned to send Vietnamese workers to work abroad.
The Center for Continuing Education and Vocational Training has focused on organizing career orientation and providing labor market information for high school students, helping students grasp job opportunities in and outside the province, abroad, as well as career trends in the coming years.
The Provincial Employment Service Center has proactively coordinated with the Vietnam - Korea College to implement training and fostering job-seeking and working skills for students, contributing to equipping them with solid provisions to enter the labor market. At the same time, it has actively coordinated to organize activities connecting businesses with workers, focusing on caring for specific groups of workers.
From 2024 to the end of the first quarter of 2025, the Provincial Employment Service Center organized 170 regular job fairs, 6 mobile Job Fairs and Labor Export Day sessions in localities; provided consultation for 16,714 cases, of which 4,776 cases were introduced to jobs; organized 15 career counseling and orientation conferences for students; collected information on nearly 3,400 vacant jobs and information on over 5,000 job seekers. Ms. Nguyen Thi An, manager of Duc Tri Kindergarten (Ha Long City) said: For Duc Tri, input recruitment is very strict, because it is related toeducation , especially the future generation of preschool children. For many years, the Provincial Employment Service Center has supported the unit a lot in recruitment work. Job fairs have been effective in connecting workers with businesses and vice versa. Through both direct and online job fairs organized regularly by the Center, many workers who meet good input standards and quality have been recruited.
Ms. Vu Thi Mo, Zone 3, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City shared: At the sessions, workers are consulted to orient and choose a career and job that suits their abilities and aspirations, as well as better understand information about the labor market, recruitment needs of businesses... thereby greatly supporting in finding a job.
It is forecasted that in 2025, the labor recruitment demand of enterprises in the province will be about 35,000 workers. With a professional and flexible operating method, the quality of job transactions is improved through the combination of diverse organizational forms, contributing to improving the efficiency of connecting labor supply and demand, meeting the needs of enterprises and workers.
According to preliminary statistics in 2024, the province's labor force is more than 692,400 people, of which 677,200 people aged 15 and over have jobs (reaching 97.8%). The basic human resources are reasonable in quantity and quality, gradually improving; the labor structure is shifting rapidly towards industrialization and modernization. Labor in agriculture - forestry and industry, construction tends to decrease; labor in tourism, services increases, with the structure: trade - services account for 48.9%, industry - construction 34.4%, agriculture - forestry - fishery 16.7%. The average salary of employees in enterprises reached 9.9 million VND/month; in which, 100% state-owned enterprises reached 16.7 million VND/month, enterprises with controlling shares of the State reached 16.4 million VND/month, FDI enterprises reached 9.9 million VND/month, and private enterprises reached 7.5 million VND/month. |
