- On the afternoon of May 19, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses and Developing Social Housing in Van Quan District held a conference to evaluate the implementation of tasks and remove difficulties and obstacles related to the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the district.
Comrades Nguyen Hoang Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Nguyen Van Ha, Secretary of Van Quan District Party Committee co-chaired the conference.
According to the report at the conference, implementing the program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for households with revolutionary contributions, policy families, poor and near-poor households according to Resolution No. 188 dated October 25, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, up to now, Van Quan district has completed the program with 206 newly built houses and 266 repaired houses.
As for Decision No. 1025/QD-UBND dated May 8, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee, the total number of temporary and dilapidated houses approved in the district is 611 households (344 newly built houses, 267 renovated houses). Up to now, the total number of houses that have been started is 248, of which 135 are newly built houses and 113 are renovated houses. The district strives to complete before August 30, 2025.
At the conference, delegates discussed the achieved results, and at the same time raised some difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process such as: the work of reviewing and classifying subjects was sometimes not accurate; the propaganda and mobilization work of some communes was not very effective; the funding source from the state budget and social mobilization of districts and communes was still limited; many households looked at their age and the date to build and repair their houses, which also affected the overall progress...
Speaking at the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged the achievements in the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district. He also suggested some solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles such as customs and practices of choosing a date to build new houses, repair houses as well as mobilizing funds to support households to implement the program.
In order to ensure the progress of the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district, he suggested that in the coming time, Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to propagate and mobilize cadres, party members and people to raise awareness, coordinate to complete the program; mobilize the participation of the entire political system, agencies, units, business community and people of all walks of life to join hands to realize the goal.
At the same time, promote the role and responsibility of steering committees at all levels in leadership and direction of implementation; speed up the completion of land procedures for people to ensure sufficient conditions for construction... During the implementation process, the district continues to exchange and coordinate with relevant agencies... to achieve the highest efficiency.
