Units have proactively increased production to improve their lives, especially growing vegetables, raising pigs, fish, etc. to include in daily meals, ensuring an improvement in the soldiers' lives; strictly managing increased production products; using and preserving loans for increased production according to regulations. A corner of the Vinh Xuong International Border Gate Border Guard Station barracks is reserved for increased production activities. A herd of dozens of pigs has been cared for and raised for many months, bustling all day long. The vegetable garden is also carefully tended, flowering and bearing fruit regularly.
“Implementing the emulation movement “The military logistics sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings”, the unit's Party Committee and commanders have taken many active and proactive measures to ensure logistics for regular and ad hoc activities; ensuring adequate reserves of materials for combat readiness, and a pillow supply of food and provisions. The vegetable garden is always rotated with different types of vegetables and tubers, ensuring over 90% of green vegetables; 2.3 tons of various types of meat and fish, raising pigs, chickens, ducks, etc. for meals. In 2024, we harvested 3.4 tons of various types of vegetables, tubers, fruits, 450kg of meat and fish; total revenue is about 80 million VND. Every month, a review conference is held, the unit's kitchen is always recognized as a good military kitchen, well managed" - Captain Pham Hong Nam (Deputy Political Commissar of Vinh Xuong International Border Gate Border Guard Station) shared.
Regarding military medical work, the entire provincial Border Guard force has built a scientific and hygienic lifestyle; updated the epidemic situation in the unit and in the stationed area, closely cooperated with local medical centers to coordinate in monitoring, preventing and fighting epidemics, and effectively implemented food hygiene and safety. Thanks to that, it has contributed to improving the quality of health care for soldiers, preventing epidemics from arising or spreading from outside into the unit. Doing a good job of managing health care for soldiers, helping to maintain the number of healthy soldiers always reaching nearly 99%. The unit coordinated with the health sector to examine and provide free medicine to 2,400 people from policy families and those in difficult circumstances in the border area. Along with that, 3 combined military-civilian medical stations have examined and treated 44,128 patients in the area (free of charge for 2,264 people). Combine modern medicine well with traditional medicine in care, diagnosis, treatment, ensuring health for soldiers; 100% of units have herbal medicine gardens, ensuring 80% of medicinal plants and groups of drugs to treat common diseases according to regulations.
The regular construction of the logistics sector has had many positive changes, such as: Building regular green, clean, beautiful barracks; building regular canteens, garages, warehouses, and a unified system of books and forms. The staff of the logistics sector is always consolidated and improved, meeting the requirements of assigned tasks. Party committees and commanders at all levels lead, direct, and strictly implement the management and use of logistics and financial facilities; organize the exploitation of on-site equipment and materials in accordance with regulations; strictly manage the prices and quality of goods and food; manage facilities and industry budgets. Statistics, inventory, and settlement work are carried out promptly, consistently, and in accordance with regulations.
In the period of 2025 - 2030, the emulation movement still focuses on 3 contents: Completing regular and ad hoc tasks well; managing the use of logistics and financial facilities; building a strong and comprehensive logistics sector. Colonel Tran Quoc Khanh (Commander of the Provincial Border Guard) requested the entire unit to continue to maintain the achievements; rectify the limitations that have been pointed out. Pay attention to investment in construction works, organize construction in accordance with regulations on basic construction investment, ensure construction progress and quality; continue to consolidate the construction of green - clean - beautiful regular barracks; repair degraded barracks and equipment. Strictly maintain the order and regime of financial and asset management, ensure publicity and democracy, use for the right purpose, economically, safely and effectively. Building a team of cadres and staff working in logistics with strong political will, constantly improving capacity and professional qualifications, strictly abiding by discipline, and completing assigned tasks well. |
