By the end of 2020, the whole province had 78/181 communes meeting the traffic criteria in building new rural areas. From 2021 to present, the implementation of this criterion has become even more difficult because the communes that have not met the new rural standards have fragmented terrain and limited socio -economic infrastructure. Faced with this reality, relevant levels and sectors, especially the key communes striving to meet the new rural standards, have had specific solutions and appropriate methods to complete the traffic criteria.
In 2024, Chi Minh commune, Trang Dinh district strives to meet the NTM standards. Mr. Ma Van Hon, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chi Minh commune, said: In 2023, after reviewing, the commune only met 8/19 criteria. Among the criteria that have not been met, the traffic criterion is considered one of the most difficult criteria. To implement this criterion, in addition to the State's investment resources, the People's Committee of the commune has proactively promoted and mobilized people to join hands to implement the criteria. Specifically, from 2023 to present, people in the commune have donated about 105,000 m2 of land, contributed over 5,000 laborers and over 500 million VND to join hands to build roads. Thereby, the whole commune has built nearly 40km of new rural roads of all kinds, contributing significantly to helping the commune meet the NTM standards in 2024.
From 2021 to present, people in the province have donated about 900,000 m2 of land, contributed over 800,000 laborers, and nearly 75 billion VND to join hands to implement traffic criteria. |
Similar to Chi Minh commune, Cao Lau commune, Cao Loc district also strives and is determined to implement the traffic criteria. To support the commune in implementing this criterion, in 2024, the People's Committee of Cao Loc district allocated 10.5 billion VND to support the commune to implement 2 traffic projects; Cao Lau commune has stepped up propaganda and mobilized people to join hands to implement the criteria. Mr. Phung Van Chong, Na Va village, Cao Lau commune said: In 2024, the State has a policy to build a traffic road through the family's land area. After being propagated and mobilized by commune officials, my family clearly understood the purpose and meaning of road construction and voluntarily donated nearly 3,500 m2 of land.
Together with Mr. Chong's family, in 2024, local people donated over 20,000 square meters of land, contributed over 800 million VND, and over 6,000 laborers to join hands to implement the traffic criteria. Thereby directly contributing to the completion of the commune's goal of meeting the new rural standards in 2024.
Not only the above two communes, from 2021 to now, relevant levels and sectors have implemented many solutions to support other communes in the province to develop rural transport, thereby gradually completing the transport criteria in building new rural areas. Mr. Hoang Viet Dong, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, said: In order to develop rural transport infrastructure as well as gradually complete the transport criteria in building new rural areas, from 2021 to now, the unit has focused on implementing the Rural Transport Development Project for the period 2021-2025. In which, from 2021 to now, the total investment resources of the State to implement the rural transport development project is 294 billion VND. At the same time, levels and sectors have balanced and integrated resources to support communes in implementing rural transport routes.
In addition to the State's investment resources, relevant levels and sectors have promoted propaganda and mobilization to mobilize people's joint efforts. Mr. Hoang Dang Dung, Head of the Rural Development Department, Department of Agriculture and Environment, said: Every year, relevant levels and sectors focus on promoting propaganda, mobilization, and mobilizing people's joint efforts to implement the NTM criteria in many forms. Specifically, from 2021 to present, relevant agencies have organized over 10,000 specialized propaganda sessions, integrating the construction of NTM in general, including the implementation of traffic criteria with over 500,000 participants; distributed over 5,000 handbooks on NTM construction; produced over 2,000 news and propaganda articles on rural areas; propagated on loudspeaker systems, social networks, etc.
Through propaganda and mobilization, people understand and actively join hands to implement the criteria. From 2021 to now, people in the province have donated about 900,000 m2 of land, contributed over 800,000 laborers, and nearly 75 billion VND to join hands to implement the traffic criteria. From state investment resources and the joint efforts of the people, in the past 5 years, the whole province has solidified over 1,700 km of rural roads of all kinds. Up to now, 100% of communes have solidified car roads to the commune center; 88.7% of villages have solidified car roads to the center; 110/175 communes have completed the traffic criteria in building new rural areas.
The results achieved in implementing traffic criteria have significantly contributed to creating favorable conditions for people in their daily lives and production development, as well as directly contributing to the completion of the goals and tasks of building new rural areas in the whole province.
