Meeting to prepare for the organization of the International Yoga Festival and Indian Cultural Exchange in Lang Son - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- On the morning of May 21, comrade Duong Xuan Huyen, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to review preparations for the International Yoga Day and Indian Cultural Exchange in Lang Son in 2025. Attending the meeting were leaders of relevant departments and branches.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province quickly reported on the preparation of some contents of the festival.

On April 29, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 126 on organizing the International Yoga Festival and Indian Cultural Exchange in Lang Son in 2025. Accordingly, the festival has the theme: "Yoga - Connecting cultures, strengthening friendship", held on May 30 and 31 in Lang Son city.

Accordingly, within the framework of the festival, activities will take place such as: provincial leaders receiving the Indian delegation; opening ceremony of the International Yoga Festival and Indian cultural exchange in Lang Son in 2025. Along with that is a series of activities to promote Lang Son - India tourism, Vietnam - India cultural exhibition space, participation in Yoga experience and performance, "Shine Yoga" contest, Indian film week in Lang Son...

According to the plan, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the standing agency to advise and organize the implementation of programs and activities within the framework of the festival. Based on the assigned tasks in the plan, the unit has coordinated with relevant departments and branches to carry out tasks such as developing the program, detailed script for the opening program; making a list of delegates; designing decorative layouts; organizing the staging and rehearsal of the art program, the mass performance in the opening ceremony and other contents.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing the following contents: choosing a suitable location to organize some activities in the event; combining and harmoniously interweaving the typical cultural features of Lang Son, Vietnam and India in the opening program; editing the invitation design, decorating the space; promoting the propaganda work about the festival; the composition of delegates; adding some products to display at the exhibition space...

Concluding the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the initiative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in connecting with units and sectors to organize the preparation of related work.

The comrade basically agreed with the expected contents within the framework of the festival, at the same time, requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province and related departments and branches, based on their assigned functions and tasks, to urgently complete the work contents to ensure quality and progress; carefully review the script of the opening ceremony program and activities within the framework of the festival; issue a press release on the organization of the festival; deploy plans to ensure security, order, food safety and hygiene, environmental sanitation, health, traffic flow; promote information and propaganda about the event with rich and diverse forms on mass media, focus on communication on appropriate social networking platforms to attract the attention of the public to ensure the festival is successful.
