Tien Trang Electricity Service Cooperative, Tien Trang Commune (Quang Xuong) always focuses on maintenance and safety of the power grid system.
In 2025, it is forecasted that there will be prolonged and severe heat waves, affecting people's lives and production. Therefore, Tien Trang Electricity Service Cooperative, Tien Trang Commune (Quang Xuong) has launched maintenance of the power grid system and transformer stations to ensure electricity supply for more than 2,500 customers, including households and local service businesses.
Director of the Cooperative Nguyen Van Loc said: People's living standards are getting higher and higher, the number of electrical appliances and devices in households in the area is increasing. In addition, Tien Trang commune also has a number of tourism service businesses. If the Cooperative maintains the operating capacity of 5 transformer stations (TSAs) as before, it will certainly not be able to ensure enough electricity to meet people's needs. From 2020 to now, the Cooperative has mobilized about 5 billion VND to invest in upgrading and building new TSAs. Currently, the Cooperative has 11 stations with a total capacity of 4,350KVA, the average power output is more than 8 million KW/year. Along with that, the Cooperative has replaced all small insulated wires and bare aluminum wires with insulated AV wires and twisted cables. Thanks to that, the power system loss rate is decreasing, only 6.2%, striving to reach 5% by the end of 2025, contributing to increasing workers' income, contributing to the sustainable development of the economy and life of the people of the whole commune.
Always identifying technological innovation, improving service quality and electrical safety as the motto for development, in recent years, Hoang Thanh Electricity Cooperative (Hoang Hoa) has undergone two major investments to build a stable, incident-free electrical infrastructure. Accordingly, since 2003, when receiving the electrical infrastructure from the local government, the Cooperative has invested in replacing the entire wiring system from bare aluminum wires to AV and twisted cables, replacing Chinese meters with Emic mechanical meters. At the same time, mobilizing capital from members and loans from credit institutions to gradually renovate, upgrade and install additional substations. In particular, in the period from 2019-2024, the Cooperative has mobilized capital to invest in and renovate lines and equipment at substations. By May 2025, Hoang Thanh Electricity Cooperative is directly managing 13 transformer stations with a capacity of 4,000KVA, with nearly 31km of low-voltage lines, supplying electricity to 2,936 local customers. In addition, the Cooperative has replaced 1,400/2,936 mechanical Emic meters with remote-measuring electronic Emic meters, contributing to reducing losses from 10.46% in 2018 to 9.6% in 2024. The total revenue of the Cooperative in 2024 is 65 billion VND.
At Thanh Tien Electricity Service Cooperative, Ngu Loc Commune (Hau Loc), the mobilization of resources to invest in upgrading the transformer station and transmission line system has brought a new look to the electricity industry, meeting the increasing demand of the people. Due to the characteristics of a densely populated and small area, the Cooperative had to rent land in neighboring localities to build more substations. At the same time, since 2010, after receiving the electricity system from Ngu Loc Commune People's Committee, the Cooperative has replaced and erected 104 new electric poles, replacing more than 18,000m of AV 70 wire to AV 120, AV 150 and AV 185 wire; Replacing many 1-phase 2-wire herringbone lines with 3-phase 4-wire lines... Director of the Cooperative Nguyen Van Dien said: "The Cooperative has 9 transformer stations with a capacity of 4,770KVA, supplying and serving more than 3,500 households and nearly 100 business and production households. To stabilize and improve the quality of electricity services and reduce power loss, the Cooperative has invested in upgrading, renovating, and replacing more than 20km of transmission lines, replacing more than 4,000 old meters with electronic meters, using electronic invoice software, ensuring accuracy in monitoring and measuring, reducing the rate of power loss to 10%. At the same time, implementing solutions to ensure labor safety in electricity use".
According to the assessment of the Provincial Cooperative Union, 100% of the electricity cooperatives in the province have completed and consolidated their apparatus and converted their operations according to the 2012 Law on Cooperatives; some cooperatives have converted according to the 2023 Law on Cooperatives. At the same time, the cooperatives always focus on participating in training courses to improve management capacity, provide information related to management and business of the electricity sector for cooperative managers and operators organized by the Provincial Cooperative Union and the Department of Industry and Trade. Thereby, the electricity cooperatives have operated more professionally and effectively, attracting more and more members and associate members to contribute capital to invest, upgrade and renovate the power grid, improve service quality and attitude, and create trust for people and electricity customers.
