Moment of dolphins swimming near a boat in Nha Trang causes a stir on social networks

On the afternoon of May 18, while fishing in Nha Trang Bay, a group of people suddenly discovered dolphins appear only about 50m from the boat.

Mr. Van, a local resident, said that the dolphins, estimated to number dozens, continuously swam, surfaced, and then dived into the water for about 10 minutes before leaving.

Witnessing the appearance of the dolphins, he and his companions used their phones to record this moment and shared it on social media for everyone to admire. The location of the dolphins appearing was about 10 nautical miles off the coast of Nha Trang.

According to the Nha Trang Bay Management Board, the appearance of dolphins is a positive sign, showing that the quality of the marine environment in the bay area is gradually improving, and the marine ecosystem is showing signs of recovery.

Dolphins have appeared many times in Khanh Hoa waters, especially in 2020 and 2022, with numbers reaching hundreds.

Dolphins are marine mammals, ranging from 1.2m to 9.5m in length, weighing from 40kg to over 10 tons, often living in groups of several dozen to hundreds in shallow seas. This is a famous species of intelligent, friendly creature, capable of complex communication and has been recorded rescuing people in distress at sea.
