Quang Yen: Practical socialized projects

Lane 71, Van Mieu Street, Chua Bang area, Quang Yen ward (Quang Yen town) is completed to meet the travel and economic development needs of the people.

After more than a month of construction, lane 71, Van Mieu Street, Chua Bang area, Quang Yen ward (Quang Yen town) has been completed and put into use. With a length of over 400m, the road has a total investment of 1.2 billion VND, implemented according to the policy of the state and the people working together. In addition to the town's budget, the neighborhood has promoted and mobilized people to support 300 million VND, donated dozens of square meters of land and many works and architectural objects to contribute to the completion of the road. The residential road is one of 11 urban infrastructure renovation and upgrading projects, simultaneously implemented by Quang Yen ward with a total cost of nearly 8 billion VND, of which people voluntarily contributed more than 2 billion VND.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Chi, Chua Bang area, Quang Yen ward (Quang Yen town), said: This road used to be narrow, the widest part was only about 2m, with many bends. Therefore, the family also wants to donate some land to the village to expand the road. My family donated about ^30m2   to contribute to widening the roads, making it easier for people to travel, beautifying the village and making it more civilized.

According to Mr. Dang Ngoc Truong, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Chua Bang Ward, Quang Yen Ward, when the town and ward had a policy to support the construction of Lane 71, Van Mieu Street, the comrades in the Party Cell and Party Cell organized a meeting with the people. The people were very unanimous and supportive, so in a very short time, the neighborhood collected the corresponding money to build the road. Although at that time every inch of land was precious, when the neighborhood mobilized, the people were very enthusiastic in donating land to widen the alley to make it straight and wide. After completing this road, the urban landscape was more spacious and clean.

From the budget of Quang Yen town and the counterpart and socialized resources among the people, the road in Gieng Meo village, Tien An commune was constructed and installed with lighting.

For Tien An commune, participating in the emulation campaign to welcome Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th Party Congress, cadres, party members and people in the area have actively responded. Accordingly, in 2025, in addition to the NTM capital of the National Target Program and combined with legally mobilized sources from the people, the whole commune has simultaneously deployed 6 projects. Of which, there is 1 public lighting project; 5 rural traffic projects, intra-field traffic projects. Up to this point, 6 projects have been accepted, handed over and put into use.

A typical example is the road in Bai 4 village, Tien An commune, with a length of nearly 200m, and a total investment of nearly 1.5 billion VND. Of which, the provincial budget from the National Target Program investment capital is 88%, and mobilized resources from the people and other legal sources reach 12%. After about a month of construction, the road was completed, meeting people's expectations for a convenient road and promoting economic development.

According to Mr. Vu Van Huy, Chairman of Tien An Commune People's Committee (Quang Yen Town), the locality agreed and discussed the mechanism for people to contribute from 10% of the total value of the project or more. Accordingly, other legal resources from units and enterprises in the area and from local counterpart funds have been mobilized to ensure counterpart funds of 25-30% of the project value. People are very excited when the traffic system is upgraded, renovated, and the lighting system is installed to ensure safety.

Since the beginning of the year, the atmosphere of competition to achieve achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels in Quang Yen town has been really exciting, spreading strongly in every neighborhood and every household. The whole town   There are 144 categories and projects, mainly focusing on upgrading and renovating residential roads, drainage, planting trees, and installing lighting with a total investment of 1,970 billion VND. Of which, 70% is from the town's budget, the rest is from contributions and counterpart funds from the people. To date, 43 projects have been completed, 48 projects have been and are being implemented, and the remaining projects are expected to be implemented and completed in June 2025.

The completion of the Bai 4 village road, Tien An commune (Quang Yen town) meets the people's needs, ensures travel and promotes economic development.

Mr. Le Manh Tuyen, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Yen Town, said: The investment portfolios under the launched program have been focused on implementation so far, starting construction in early April and May 2025. The town continues to assign specialized agencies, especially localities and people to participate in supervising and urging to speed up the progress of the projects, ensuring the implementation of construction from now until June 30, 2025.

The implementation of the projects has demonstrated the leadership, direction and correct decisions of the town, creating consensus, trust and support from the entire political system. The completed projects have important significance for urban beautification, traffic infrastructure, improving the quality of people's lives, creating momentum to promote socio-economic development.
