The program "Vracbank - Deposit trash, withdraw money" of Quang Ninh Cement and Construction Joint Stock Company contributes to saving resources and protecting the environment.

Notable among them is Quang Ninh Cement and Construction Joint Stock Company with its breakthrough steps in applying technology. The program "Vracbank - Deposit garbage, withdraw money" encourages local people to classify recyclable waste at the source. After nearly 3 years of implementation, the program has collected more than 500 tons of recyclable waste, contributing to reducing the load on the local waste treatment system and raising awareness of environmental protection in the community. The collected waste is transferred to the cement factory using industrial waste co-processing technology. Here, the waste is completely decomposed in a clinker kiln with a temperature of over 1,400°C, without creating ash or toxic gases. More importantly, this process replaces part of traditional coal materials and reduces production costs.

Mr. Ninh Xuan Quang, Deputy Director of Lam Thach Cement Factory, Quang Ninh Cement and Construction Joint Stock Company, shared: The company also invested in renovating the equipment line according to European standards, coordinating with a unit from Norway in deploying advanced production technologies; installing a Bypass system, maintaining an automatic environmental monitoring system to ensure current standards, regulations and regulations. In particular, the latest generation of bag dust filter system for two clinker kilns with an investment value of over 70 billion VND has helped reduce dust concentration to 20mg/Nm3 and always maintained stability even when the kiln has problems. This is an effective and strategic solution, anticipating increasingly strict emission standards for cement production activities.

In addition to technology, the company also focuses on connecting with the community. An environmental monitoring team of 15 members representing local people was established, contributing to increasing transparency and social supervision of production activities. The company also planted more than 12,000 new trees in just the first 4 months of 2025, renovating the landscape according to the model of "eco-office", "park in the factory" to create a healthy and safe working environment.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang, Deputy General Director of Quang Ninh Cement and Construction Joint Stock Company, said: In the context of the volatile cement market, thanks to the successful application of green technologies, Lam Thach Cement still maintained a production of more than 470,000 tons of cement in the first 4 months of the year, revenue reached 400 billion VND, contributed 7 billion VND to the budget, with the average income of workers reaching 14.1 million VND/month, up 8% over the same period last year. With the desire to join hands in fulfilling community responsibilities, the Company regularly pays attention to launching and responding to social security work with many diverse and practical activities. From 2018 to present, the Company has spent more than 10 billion VND, of which over 200 million VND in the first 4 months of 2025 for social security activities in the area.

Currently, Quang Ninh province has 7 cement factories in operation, with a total capacity of over 10 million tons/year. Most of the factories have applied advanced technology to strictly control dust and emissions, especially connecting directly to the provincial Center for Natural Resources and Environment Monitoring, transmitting data on emissions and wastewater 24/7 to serve monitoring work.

In addition to efforts from businesses, local authorities are also actively implementing policies to encourage clean technology and strengthen the role of community supervision - creating momentum for a sustainable, green and responsible cement industry.
