The 2025 People's Public Security recruitment assessment exam will have 4 exam codes, instead of 2 exam codes like last year.

The Ministry of Public Security has just announced the exam format and sample exam for the 2025 People's Public Security recruitment assessment exam.

Accordingly, the 2025 Ministry of Public Security assessment test consists of three parts: mandatory essay, mandatory multiple choice, and optional multiple choice. Candidates will take the test in 180 minutes in the form of a written test.

The total score of the test is 100 points. Of which, the essay part (required) is 25 points and the multiple choice part is 75 points.

The knowledge area, the compulsory essay section will include a social essay question, with a maximum total score of 25 points.

Multiple choice section, total of 80 questions, maximum score 75 points. Of which, 70% is grade 12 knowledge; 30% is grade 10, grade 11 knowledge. Questions at the knowledge and understanding level account for 30% of questions, application level accounts for 50% of questions, high application level accounts for 20% of questions.

The compulsory multiple choice section for math has 35 questions (35 points); history has 10 questions (10 points); foreign language has 20 questions (15 points).

The optional multiple choice test will have 15 questions (maximum 15 points). In this part, candidates choose one of the following subjects: physics (CA1), chemistry (CA2), biology (CA3), geography (CA4).

Thus, the structure of the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam this year has changed compared to 2024. Last year, candidates taking the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam would choose one of two exam codes: CA1 (multiple choice and essay math) or CA2 (multiple choice and essay literature).

According to the Department of Training, the adjustments in the 2025 assessment exam structure are intended to suit the first batch of candidates graduating under the 2018 GeneralEducation Program.

Last year, the enrollment target of the People's Police schools was 2,150. There are three admission methods: direct admission, admission combined with international language certificates and high school transcripts, admission based on high school exam scores and assessment test scores organized by the Ministry of Public Security.

With the method of using exam scores, in previous years, the assessment test scores of the Ministry of Public Security accounted for 60% of the total admission score and the high school graduation exam results of the Ministry of Education and Training accounted for 40% of the total admission score.
