According to the reporter's records, activities at the Examination Councils took place normally, in accordance with the examination regulations. At the Examination Council of Ngo Gia Tu High School (Lap Thach), security, order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting were well ensured. The school's volunteer student team was arranged to support candidates and their families as well as support the traffic police force in directing traffic and avoiding congestion. 92 officers of the Examination Council strictly implemented the examination regulations according to their assigned tasks.
The work of protecting the confidentiality of exam papers, medical care , logistics, and arranging exam rooms... were carried out seriously. After 2 exam sessions, 684 candidates participated in the exam in full; there were no invigilators or candidates who violated exam regulations. After each exam session, the Ngo Gia Tu High School Examination Council met to summarize and grasp the situation, and at the same time draw experience from the limitations and shortcomings in organizing the exam...
After 60 minutes of taking the test, the candidates completed the English test. The English test was in the form of multiple choice questions. According to many teachers, the test content ensured standard knowledge and skills.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, English teacher at Yen Lac Secondary School, said: “The English test is good, closely following life events (the song Continue the story of peace ). The test closely follows the 2018 General Education program, especially promoting students' language skills such as reading comprehension, speaking skills (in real-life situations), letter writing skills, and argumentative paragraphs. The test closely follows the program structure and sample test of the Department of Education and Training, and is highly classified. Good and excellent students with good skills can score 7.5 points or higher on the test."
Despite the hot weather in the afternoon, most candidates felt comfortable completing the second test. Many students shared the same opinion that the test was within their ability, interesting, and consistent with the knowledge and skills that teachers imparted during the learning and review process.
Entering the exam room with joy and excitement, Nguyen Thu Thao, a student at Trung Nguyen Secondary School (Yen Lac), a candidate taking the exam at Dong Dau High School (Yen Lac) said: “The English exam was within my ability, not too difficult; however, there were some questions to differentiate and classify students such as questions on choosing synonyms and antonyms for underlined words and vocabulary selection. English is my strength, so I was able to do more than 70% of the exam. I will continue to try hard in Math on the morning of June 2 to achieve high scores in all 3 subjects.”
According to the Department of Education and Training, in the second exam session, at the exam councils, there were 18,540 candidates taking the exam, 130 candidates were absent, reaching 99.3% of the total number of candidates confirmed to take the exam. The work of ensuring security, order, traffic safety, food safety... was carried out seriously; no unusual incidents occurred; all activities took place in accordance with regulations and rules.
Tomorrow morning, June 2, candidates will take the third exam - Math with 120 minutes to complete.
