4 cases where motorbike drivers are allowed to carry a maximum of two people
According to the draft Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, drivers of two-wheeled motorbikes, mopeds, and vehicles similar to motorbikes and mopeds are only allowed to carry one person, except in the following cases, when they are allowed to carry a maximum of two people:
1- Take the patient to the emergency room;
2- Escort people who have violated the law;
3- Children under 14 years old;
4- The elderly or disabled.
Thus, compared to the 2008 Road Traffic Law, the draft Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety has added the above case (4), motorbike drivers are allowed to carry a maximum of 2 people.
Drivers and passengers of two-wheeled motorcycles, three-wheeled motorcycles, motorbikes, and vehicles similar to motorcycles and motorbikes must wear the correct type of helmet for motorcycle and motorbike riders and fasten the strap properly.
Motorcyclists are not allowed to use their vehicles to lead animals.
The Draft Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety also stipulates that drivers of two-wheeled motorbikes, three-wheeled motorbikes, motorbikes, and vehicles similar to motorbikes and motorbikes are not allowed to perform the following acts:
+ Ride in a row;
+ Drive on the road reserved for pedestrians and other vehicles;
+ Use cell;
+ Let go of both hands or ride on one wheel for two-wheeled vehicles, on two wheels for three-wheeled vehicles;
+ Using a vehicle to pull or push other vehicles or objects, leading livestock, carrying, shouldering and transporting bulky objects; carrying people standing on the vehicle, on the carrier or sitting on the steering wheel; loading goods on the vehicle beyond the prescribed limit;
+ Sitting on one side to drive the vehicle; standing or lying on the vehicle to drive the vehicle; changing drivers while the vehicle is running; turning around to drive the vehicle or driving blindfolded; using a kickstand or other object to scrape the road while the vehicle is running;
+ Other acts that disrupt traffic order and safety.
People sitting on two-wheeled motorbikes, three-wheeled motorbikes, motorbikes, and vehicles similar to motorbikes or motorbikes while participating in traffic are not allowed to perform the following acts:
+ Carrying bulky objects;
+ Use cell;
+ Clinging, pulling or pushing other vehicles;
+ Standing on the saddle, on the luggage rack or sitting on the handlebars;
+ Other acts that disrupt traffic order and safety.
