Proposal to allocate staffing quota in 2024

(Baoquangngai.vn) - On the morning of October 20, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien chaired a working session to give opinions on adjusting and allocating staff among departments, branches and localities in 2024.

According to the proposal of the Department of Home Affairs, in 2024, it is expected to allocate 2,100 civil servant positions. Of which, the allocation to departments, branches and localities is 2,096 positions (1,127 provincial-level positions, 970 district-level positions) and 3 reserve positions (24 positions less than in 2023).

The proposed number of employees in public service units in 2024 is 21,806 thousand positions (not including 286 additional positions in preschool and primaryeducation for the 2023-2024 school year). Of which, 21,274 thousand positions will be allocated to agencies and units and 132 positions will be reserved, a decrease of 550 positions compared to 2023.

For the commune level, it is proposed to allocate 3,330 positions. Of which, 3,559 commune-level officials and civil servants are assigned according to the classification of commune-level administrative units and 101 additional commune-level civil servants because commune-level administrative units have larger population and natural areas than the standard...

At the meeting, leaders of the provincial departments and branches gave their opinions on the number of staff for each agency, unit, and locality and the implementation of staff streamlining according to the roadmap; opinions on continuing to implement the surplus policy in merged localities...

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh emphasized that the arrangement and allocation of staff for the state sector must be carried out in the spirit of streamlining, effectiveness and efficiency, not in the traditional way as before. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully consider the adjustment and allocation of staff numbers for each agency, unit and locality appropriately.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh assigned the Department of Home Affairs to advise the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to send a document to localities to discuss the allocation of staff in 2024; synthesize opinions at the working session to submit to the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision on the allocation of staff in 2024 to agencies, units and localities.
